A Card for Sundays with Santa on Facebook - "A Card for a Child"

Good Morning Everyone, wow isnt this weather fabulous, mind you I carnt sit it in to long as I get to hot and sweaty but I do like it so wont moan, especially as we are of to Cornwall on Monday for 4 days and I would prefer it to be dry and sunny rather than cold and wet, so wish us good luck it stays dry at least. Back to todays card this is for this weeks Sundays with Santa Challenge on Facebook, for this we want a card for a child, and Ive used this sweet image from Mo Manning and its called "Baby Girls 1st Christmas" so I felt it was just right for a the challenge, and tis one Ive not used before and I printed her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens then used Nestabilitie Label Die No.17 to cut it out then drew around the die to create the mount. The sentiment was created on my computer and printed and mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, on this I have layered a paper from Donna's Christmas Digi Set, its a gorgeous one with a Santa figure in the bottom left hand corner and a beautiful design in the top right. I then cut out two corners and one bottom strip with my Memory Box Christmas Dies, and then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment below on the right hand side.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugery Sunday Challenges

Good Morning All, do you ever get a day when you dont know whether your on your head or your heels, well its been like that for me over the last couple of days, and of course Ive been missing this gorgeous weather. Ive just finished writing up the Challenge blog post for tomorrow for The Paper Shelter, and then decided to put all my new Daisy trail digi kits on my computer, and now I thought I really ought to get this card posted as we are due to go swimming in an hours time. Oh well its all go in the Chalmers household.
This card has been created for this Sundays "Sugery Sunday" Flowers Challenge over on Facebook and of course it gives me a chance to add it also to the Sugar Bowl one as well, that has a Sketch so I used it for both.
This is such a cute image and Ive coloured it with my copic pens then used the square Nestabilitie Dies to cut it out and mount it on a larger one, the sentiment is from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image. The base card is my usual 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers I have used are from Sweet Shope Digi Downloads and this one is called "Love, Sun and Laughter" the first paper is a yellow background with white hearts on, the second is a multi flowered one with a white background and the third is a plaid one.
I then placed my image in the middle with the sentiment below, to finish of I have used some of the same papers to create four flowers with my Royal Rose die from Die-namics, the leaves have also been done with the same Rose leave dies, Ive used some green paper from the same paper set. These were stuck in the top leaf hand corner with some silicone glue.

A Card for the Official Magnolia Challenge - "Sketch" and Yellow

I will be having a breakdown if Im not careful two Tilda Cards in one day, oh well I just had to have a play with this little cutie, Ive coloured her with my copics and then used the new Die-namics Rectangle Dies, then inked around the edges, Ive also used a larger die for the mount. The sentiment is another from my stash and has been mounted on a bit of the same yellow card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of yellow card, the papers I have used are from the First Edition "Family Ties" paper pad, the first a embossed yellow background with white flowers on, the second and third papers are a yellow check and a multi stripped one, the other yellow strip is the check on turned over and stuck across the middle as the sketch asked.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment down the side. To finish of I have created a flower spray of five different sized roses in white and yellow, these were stuck in the top left hand corner on top of punched out rose leaves. The last little flourish are the two sequined hearts and the pearls down the bottom on the right hand side.

A Card for Just Magnolia's Sketch Challenge

Good Morning All, its been awhile since I used any of my Tilda Stamps and I thought for a change I would give them an airing, this is one of the new ones and she has a cuddly blanket and sucking her thumb, this so reminds me of my middle daughter Sarah as even at 45 she still has a crafty suck of her thumb when shes stressed, not really a good model for her 4 children but I suppose with teenagers its enough to make you want to stuck your thumb, Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a square Nestabilitie die to cut her out, the image was then mounted on a heart square from Spellbinders. The sentiment is yet another of my stash ones and has been mounted on the same pink card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and Ive used 3 papers from First Editions "Dreamcatcher" paper pad, the first a cream background with pink butterflies on, for my second I have used a deep purple piece that has lots of flowers and more butterflies on it, and the third is another cream background with a pink chain pattern on.
I then positioned my image in the centre towards the top with the sentiment below on the left. To finish of I have used some of the left over paper to cut out a Royal Rose die cut from Die-namics and rolled it and then stuck it on some punched out pink leaves (left over paper) and put it in the top left hand corner.

A Card for Sundays with Santa on Facebook - "Travel"

Good Morning All, has anyone noticed just how quickly the weeks are going by, here we are at another one, and at least today the sun is trying to come out, lets hope it does as I would like the weather to improve a lot before we take of for Cornwall in a couple of weeks, as its so miserable when it gets misty down there you miss so much of the scenery. Anyway back to todays card, this is for this weeks Challenge over on Sundays with Santa, its a weekly challenge that we set ourselves to create cards for Christmas, there isnt any money or prize involved it just gives us the chance to build up a reserve before December. Anyway this weeks theme is "Travel" and Ive used this Paper Shelter one of a young lass on her sledge delivering her Christmas Parcels. Ive printed her onto white card then used my copics to colour her, afterwards I used the new Die-namics Rectangle dies to cut her out, then used a larger one and some red card for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash, Im sorry I dont know hows it is as I usually take the backing paper of, silly really but my poor drawers are stacked to bursting and if I kept all the paper it just wouldnt shut.
Anyway the main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and the papers I have used are from Donna's Bearlymine Christmas ones, the first is a red background with holly and sentiments on, the second is a blue background with similar design, I used one of my Cheery Lynn doily dies for this and placed in towards the left of the base layer.
I then positioned my mounted image on the right and the sentiment below it, to finish of I have used another of the Cheery Lynn dies to cut a holly swirl and stuck to the left of the image and a poinsetta was then stuck to the card at the top with some punched out holly leaves.

Good Afternoon Everyone, its a beautiful sunny day here in Gloucestershire and quite warm, I do hope its here to stay as it makes you feel good, and our dog had a lovely walk this afternoon though she did get a bit hot. Never mind thank goodness its a dry day, its also the 48th anniversary of my baby sons death, although it get easier as the years go by, it doesnt stop you thinking or remembering what happened on that date, and I also wonder how well he would have grown up especially as my future may have taken a different turn, oh well you just have to accept what youve got.
Todays card has been created for this weeks challenge over on Facebook its Sundays with Santa's "Christmas Birthday Card" although I dont actually have any girls whose birthday is at Xmas I do have several boy ones, not to worry perhaps I can pass it onto someone who does. Ive used this gorgeous image from Sugar Nellie and coloured it with my copic pens, then Ive used Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut it out and a larger die for the mount. The sentiment was one I created on my computer and printed it and mounted it also onto some red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and one of three papers from the Nitwits "Gingerbread" paper set, the first a pink background with lady gingerbread people on, and the second is a cream background with fir trees on, and Ive used the Martha Steward Xmas Tree border punch on both edges, then of top is a further paper which is also pink background with heart candy canes on.
I then cut out the reindeer in the left hand bottom corner and stuck it down there, the mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment along the top for a change as it wouldnt fit at the bottom.

A Card for Sundays with Santa on Facebook - "Baubles"

Good Morning Everyone, today is the birthday of my youngest grandchild, hes now 11 and will be of to Secondary School with his older brother come this September, and if that wasnt the only one of to School my hubbys eldest granddaughter will start School this September as shes 4 in August. Dont these little ones grow up fast, I just carnt get over the fact that my eldest grandson is getting married this August and I dont suppose it will be long before he presents me with a great grandchild, and I know that will really make me feel old, I just wish my lovely mum had lived long enough to see her first great great grandchild, but it wasnt to be.
Now back to my card, this was created for this weeks facebook challenge of "Baubles" as you probably are aware Ive been creating Xmas cards since the first week of January, its a good way of collection a stash of them for this coming Christmas, and this one is created with one of Mo's gorgeous images, Ive printed it onto white card before using my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used a Spellbinders Bauble die to cut it out then used the die to draw around for the mount. The sentiment has also been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card for this one is a pearlescent one thats been but through my cuttlebug with a bauble embossing folder, then on top I have place a snowflake border diecut that I made with my Memory Box die, this was stuck at the bottom. The mounted image was then positioned at an angle and the sentment below on the right.
Now I have a very big truth to tell you, I accidently dropped the top of my inkpad on top of my image and I had one hell of a job to cover up the lines, I know you can just see the shadow but I hope it wont cause you to judge me to much, as I had spent quite a time colouring it and I just didnt want to throw it away.

A Card for LOV Challenge - "Sketch"

Good morning Everyone, well its stopped raining even though I dont suppose its going to last its just nice to be able to go outside without getting soaked. Back todays card I created this for the Lili's little Fairies "Sketch" Challenge, and Ive used one of the new stamps for my card, though I do see that I have cut it out on the squiff, daft really but my excuse is I do have new glasses, I hope it doesnt upset your feeling towards it. Ive stamped it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, and the oval Nestabilitie die to cut it out, afterwards I used the lacey edge die for my mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, and then Ive used two of the new beautiful "Rose's Dream" digi papers from Bearlymine, they really are so pretty, I do hope you will go and visit Donna's website to see for yourself. The first paper is a pink background with hellibore roses on, and the second paper is a blue background that has the same flowers on in different colours.
I then wrapped three ribbon stripes around the card in pink and blue and attached them to the back of the first mount, the mounted image was then positioned in the middle and the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used some left over paper to create two rolled roses in the top left hand corner thats been stuck on top of some punched out leaves.
