A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Afternoon Crafters, I do apologise for not posting recently Ive got to admit Ive not been feeling upto doing much crafting as since having my colonoscopy last week Ive been suffering rather badly from being sore in the neither regions so you can understand why I really havent felt like making cards. Anyway I did get around to making this today with one of the Sugar Nellie images that I bought in 2009 and naughty me Ive not used it since I bought it, and Fiona's son is 21 this week and the challenge over on Sugary Sunday is all about mens cards so I took it as we were supposed to make a birthday card for a man/boy so this is the result.
The image is "Guitar Boy" and Ive stamped him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Nestabilitie Die to cut it out and a larger one for the mount. The Sentiment is a Whimsey button stamp and its been cut out with a button die.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark blue card, and the papers are from Sweetshoppe Digi Downloads and this is called "Circus Burst" I thought the colours appropriate for this image. The first is a white background with circles on and the second is a blue embossed one and the third is a triangle banner one.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Yes  I know its very bright, but Im hoping it might just get Spring going, you never know. Anyway todays card has been created for the Sugar Bowl "Anything Goes" and Sugary Sundays "Add a bit of Ribbon" Challenges, and I have used one of the Sugar Pips for my card, you will find it at Funky Kits, theyve got some lovely digital images for sale and this is just one of them.
Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Die No.4 to cut her out and a Decorative one for the mount our of yellow card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of yellow card, and the papers I have chosen to use are Sweetshoppe's "Adorableness" papers, the first a very pretty swirl pattern and the second is a cross stripped one which I cut into a square and used one of the Martha Stewart Border and Corner punches on.
The sentiment is a Personal Impressions one and the mount is one of the Ribbon Threaded Dies which I have threaded ribbon through the holes. The last thing is the yellow flower which is a wired edge one (that I found on a parcel and kept) that I have pulled the wires and then curled it into a flower and stuck a brad through the middle, this was stuck to the card with silicone glue.

A Card for the Joanna Sheen "Recycle" Challenge

Good Morning Crafters, its a long time since I created a card for the Joanna Sheen Challenge and I thought that I would make amends by using one of her House Mouse Decoupage Sheets and this is the result.
I probably could have made a bigger base card as this one is only 6"x 6" but I hope you will agree it doesn't look to bad. The paper I have used is from one of Joanna's Cds at this moment I cannot remember which one, I used just one sheet and stuck it to a piece of lilac card, then around the bottom I used a piece of recycled ribbon and there was just enough to meet the size I needed. The sentiment is one from the same decoupaged sheet and has also been mounted onto a piece of the same lilac card and was placed towards the left hand side.
To finish of I have used some of the left over paper from the base card and one of the new Cheery Lynn flower dies I have created a flower at the top left hand corner and this was placed on some punched out leaves, I then popped some yellow stickles in the center.

A Card for Sundays with Santa "Facebook" Challenge

Over on Facebook each week our group "Sundays with Santa" have a theme to create a card, so as to build up our stash for Christmas, and this weeks its "Family". I have used this image from Mo Digital for my card and have printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it. Afterwards I used the Nestabilitie Die No.1 to cut it out and a scalloped one for the mount.
The main card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and the papers are from Glitz Paper Pack this one is called "Joyeux Noel" and I have used two papers, the first a all over picture pattern and the second is a brown on which has been placed down the card.
The mounted image was then placed in the center, then used some die cut sentiment across the bottom left hand corner.

A Card for many Challenges

Good Afternoon Crafters, yes yet another card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges, and this is one of the Adorables a digi image you will find on the Funky Kits website, and this weeks challenge on Sugary Sunday is a colour one.
And I sincerely hope that Ive managed it, its not easy to colour images in such few colours but at least I have tried. I then used one of the new shaped Dies from Nestabilities to cut her out and a larger one for the mount, Ive also used a smaller one for the sentiment which is one from my stash.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of beige card and on top I have used three papers from Sweet Shoppes "Grace" digi paper set, the first is a beige background with a damask pattern on, and for the second I have used a cream paper and one of the Cheery Lynn Doily dies, I placed in the center of the first mount. The third mount is again a dark beige background with spot pattern on and this was placed down the card towards the left handside.
I then placed my image towards the left and the sentiment below on the right. To finish of I have used some of the left over papers and punched it out with one of flower punches then shaped the leaves and stuck them on top of each other, and punched out the leaves from yet more of the left over paper and placed the flower on top of these on some silicone glue.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Morning Crafters, well I dont know about you but it seems this weather is never going to improve all day yesterday we had heavy rainfalls though I must say it was a lot warmer than its been for awhile, I just wish it would improve so we can see the trees starting to leaf up at the moment there doesnt seem to be much growth at all on them. I did treat myself to some polyanthus and pansy's yesterday and popped them into the pots on my patio and they are giving us some colour for a change so maybe it might encourage the rest of the garden to cheer up, you never know.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Sugar Bowl "Anything Goes" Challenge and the Sugary Sundays "Favourite Colours" one, Ive used this sweet Funky Kits fairy image for my card.

I know that pink is not the easiest of colour to use so I took the bull by the horn and then used it to colour my image, its one of my favourite colour choice as is purple and I did use a little of that on the lollipops. I then used Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut it out and a decorative one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card the papers I have used are from My Minds Eye "Memorable" paper pad, the first a pretty pink background with white spot on, and for my second I have used a flower pattern on a cream background along the edge I have used a deep edged punch down the edge, then placed it onto the base mount and then took another piece of white card and ran it through my ebosser with a embossing folder and placed it along the top of the same piece of pretty paper.
The mounted image was then placed in the middle and then I cut a piece of pink card and used a label die for the sentiment and which was also cut with a oval die and placed on the label die and stuck at the bottom on the right hand side. The final flourish is the four gems in the top two corners.

Guest Designer for "Forever Friends" - "Die Cuts and Punches"

I was asked by my Team Leader Donna of Bearlymine Designs to be a Guest Designer for
as Donna was sponsoring the prize for this Challenge, and with a couple of other girls from the Teams I decided to take part and here is my card.
I did use one of the Forever Friends images for my card its actually a pre-coloured one, I cut it out with Nestabilitie Die No.1 and then I used a inkpad around the edge, Ive mounted it onto a piece of beige card thats been cut with one of the decorative dies from Spellbinders. The sentiment has been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a piece of the same beige white card, then on top I have used  Donna's Bearlymine Designs "Floral Breeze", "Lacy Vintage" and "Small Dots" papers on it,
the first paper is one from the "Floral Breeze" paper set, and Ive then used one of the others for the doily which has been cut out with a Cheery Lynn die, I then placed my image towards the right hand side at the top with the sentiment below.
To finish of I have used some small dots paper and rolled flower dies from Die-namics and created several flowers which have been stuck on top of some swirls which were cut with a Cheery Lynn die down the left hand side of the card.
Now that youve seen my Card I do hope that you will go and visit Forever Friends Challenge Blogspot and see what the rest of the team have created for your inspiration.

Again another Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Afternoon Crafters, well the sun is out again but its extremely cold here in Gloucestershire and weve actually been promised a warmer spell next week but its still something you can hardly think about as it changes so quickly, we are going to have a summer arnt we? Anyway to cheer you up todays card has been created for yet again the Sugar Bowls "Anything Goes" and Sugary Sundays "Dies and Doodles" Challenges and I have used this little cutie for my card, its one from Funky Kits.
I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used a Nestabilite Die No.11 to cut her out, then doodled all around the edge. I used the same die to draw around to create the mount for her, and the sentiment was one from my stash.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, the papers are all from My Minds Eye "Memorial" Paper Pad, I have used a pink patterned one for the first mount then used another piece of the pink card and a Marianne border die I cut it out and placed it along the bottom of the card.
I then used another of the papers from the pad and cut a strip and a border punch from Martha Stewart and punched it out on both of the edges then placed it on top of the pink card.
The mounted image was then placed in the middle with the sentiment below on the right, to finish of I have  used a piece of the left over pink card a Whimsey Swirl die I have cut out two pieces and placed then around the top of the image.
