Today would have been my Sons 51st Birthday

I cannot believe that so many years have flown by and so much has happened since this beautiful baby boy was born, I know I only had you 6 months but those months are the most precious to me, they gave me time to get to know you and love you. Im so sorry you suffered so much in the last two months and I wouldnt wish that on you again, so I know it was for the best that you didnt manage to surmount it.
My dearest Son Ian you missed meeting your two younger sisters and all your nieces and nephews and now your Big Sister is also a grandmother to two gorgeous boys, so sleep well my love hopefully one day I will meet you again.

Shirley, I didn't know that your son was sadly taken from you at such a young age, this is a beautiful photograph and I'm sure you have some wonderful memories as well as some sad ones.
My thoughts are with you.

He would be my age and it is so sad when one loses a child. A dear friend of mine lost her son to SIDS when he was 9 months old. One has to adjust to the pain but his beauty lives on forever in pictures and in one's heart. He is a beauty and is an angel to his siblings and his nieces and nephews. Angels always bring light. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, it is humbling but I am so grateful you did.
