A Special Card for a very Special Friend

Good Morning Crafters, a very special friend of mine is getting married next week and as I only heard through another friend this was taking place I thought I would like to make a card for her and hopefully send her my love and good wishes for a happy future. I have known her for at least 25 years and she went through a really bad time a few years ago and I happy that she has found someone else who she feels will make her happy, I do want to wish her all the best.
The image I have used for my card is a Whiff of Joy one and I have stamped it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I have used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 to cut it out and a scalloped one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and i felt it was just right for this image it also has flowers around the edge and its been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a base mount of pink pearlescent, then on top is a one of two papers from the Confetti Paper Pack from Dovecraft, its old one that I had in my stash and its only used when I have a wedding card to make, actually my eldest daughter is also getting married in a few weeks time so it also came out for that one to.
The first paper is a pink and white stripe and in the corners I have used a Martha Steward border heart punch, this was stuck on the pink base, then on top is a second paper which is a white background with heart confetti design on it this was cut into a 6.75"x 5" oblong and then it was punched with the same heart punch I used for the corners and I have used the border punch with it as well.
Across the center I have used two white ribbons and attached them to the back of the first mount, I then placed my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of I have used several sized roses in pink and white and beaded swirls in a spray in the top left hand corner, the final flourish are the pearl sprays at the end of both of them.

My second card using the new Whiff of Joy Stamps

Good Morning Crafters as promised this is the second card using the new Whiff of Joy stamps, this one is just gorgeous and I must say probably my most favorite of the two, but I know we all have different ideas about what we like best. I have stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I have used Nestabilitie Labels Die 4 to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one of my CC stamps and has been stamped on to a spare piece of card then mounted also on a piece of pink card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of pink card, the papers I have used are from Sweethshoppe "If the Shoe Fits" digi paper set, I love using these papers as they have a fabulous choice of sets, Im sure you will enjoy a browse if you get a chance and heres the link to their shop Sweet Shoppe Designs. I have used several papers, the first is a pretty floral one and the second is a pink one which I have used for a doily, then on top is a white doily.
Ive then placed a third mount of a small check one down the right hand side, and then placed my mounted image towards the left.
The sentiment is placed across the bottom right, and to finish of I have used some of the papers left to create the flowers that have been moulded and then layered up and placed on two pink flourishes in the top right hand corner.

A new Whiff of Joy Stamp

This week I bought the two stamps from Whiff of Joy from "Bunny Zoes" and this is one of them, I loved her hair and couldnt wait to have a try and colouring it. Ive used my copic pens to colour it then cut it out with Nestabilitie Labels Die No.28 to cut it out then used the die to draw around to make the mount for it. The sentiment also came with the image and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of mauve card and the papers I have used are from Sweet Shoppe Digi Downloads and this set are "Annabella" I have used three of the papers, the first is a pretty pink with butterflies on, the second a mauve one and the third a spotty one thats been placed across the middle.
The mounts were place as shown with a square doily laid under the third mount, the mounted image was then placed in the center with the sentiment at the bottom across the right hand corner. To finish of I have used some mauve spider web and several roses in pink and mauve, and placed on top of the spiders web with two tear drop pins and with two pearl strays into a flower spray in the top left hand corner.

"Sundays with Santa"

Good Morning Everyone, well I dont know about you but I spent 3 hours last night scheduleing cards for the next four days because if I dont something is likely to come up and Im bound to forget to do them, I know weve got to do our monthly shop on Tuesday so I thought I might as well get on and do it. Anyway even this card was scheduled Saturday night for this morning as Im sure to get behind if I dont, so here goes.
This weeks Sundays with Santa is for "Flat Flowers" and Ive chosen this sweet image of Willow as an Angel for my card, and Ive coloured her with my copic and tria pens, then used the large oval to cut her out, as shes rather long than the die I had to use the out of the die to get it done completely, Ive also used the scalloped one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and Ive created a pocket for the tag at the top, as I want to enter this card in a couple of other Challenges and one of them asks for a pocket for a gift, and this token at the top is a promise to take a granddaughter to the Zoo. Anyway Ive used red card for my first mount and just one paper a very pretty white background with a red tree scene at the bottom, Ive also used it for the inside of the pocket.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle and popped the tag in the pocket which has a ribbon at the top and to finish of I have put two different sizes of Poinsetta flowers at the top on the left and one on top of the staple I used on the tag.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Challenge "Purple and Green"

Good Afternoon Everyone, well I know Im a bit late with this card it should have been posted yesterday on our facebook page but Ive eventually got it finished and have just done so. The challenge this week was for a "Purple and Green" card not an easy choice for a Christmas card but Ive done my best with this image from Whiff of Joy, Ive stamped and coloured her with my copic pens before cutting her out with my rotatrim, the sentiment is one of the LOV stamps and this was mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of green snowflake card and on top of this is a purple one, Ive used a snowflake corner punch on this. I then positioned my mounted image towards the left top and the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish I have used the punched out snowflakes and positioned them just outside the corners of the one Ive punched.

Santa for Sunday Card and two other Challenges

Good Morning All, sorry Ive been a bit lapse this week posting any cards its been one of those weeks, I have been making cards but I carnt post them yet due to my DT commitments, anyway for the next 3 days on my No.1 blog there will be a card a day on there and hopefully even one for today if I can get my arse into gear and finish of one Ive already started.
Anyway todays card is mainly for my weekly  challenge card for the Santa for Sunday Challenge over on Facebook, if youve not seen whats going on perhaps it might be a good idea to pop across and have a look, heres the link theres no prize its just a way of collecting a stash of Xmas cards for next Christmas, anyway this weeks challenge is to create a card without Green, and hopefully this one will fit the bill, Im also going to enter it into the Bah Humbug's "Christmas Trees" and Winter Wonderland's "Baubles" and hope they will accept it for both of those as well. Anyway Ive used this image from Whiff of Joy its called "Drummer Boy" and coloured it with my promarkers, Im not so keen on these pens as the nib is so fat and Im also not sure how to get the blending right as I can with my Copics I suppose its just a matter of practicing so this is my second attempt to do that. I then cut it out with my Rectangle Nestabilitie Die and cut a larger one for the mount from a piece of blue pearlescent card, the sentiment is the first line of the song "Little Drummer Boy" and I printed it from my computer and mounted it in the same way as the image.
The card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card with one of two papers from the Papermania pad "Winter Wonderland" this first paper has an all over pattern of baubles and fir trees and sentiments, the second mount is a blue pattern background with just fir trees on it, this also has been mounted on another piece of the same blue card and positioned to the left of the card, I then stuck my mounted image towards the top in the middle, and the sentment at the bottom on the right.
To finish of Ive used some shrink plastic and created some baubles, coloured them, then shrunk them to a small size before sticking them down the card on the tree branches.
