Sarah Hallam has a brand new CD to be previewed on 17th March

Good Morning Crafters, another wet day here in Gloucestershire but I have something to cheer you up I hope Sarah Hallam from Peerless Designs has a brand new CD due out on 17th March when it will be previewed on Create and Craft, and its all about Zentangle again.

Am I not right they are stunning and Ive been lucky enough to have the job of making samples up for the show, so far I have created two cards and Im going to show you what Ive been up to. Firstly I have used the Peony Design and I think shes gorgeous.

And I have printed the topper out on to semi-gloss paper and mounted it onto red card, the papers are all from the Design Set which go with this gorgeous image. I have also used Tattered Lace Heart corners and a Nestabilitie Rolled Flower die for the flower in the top left hand corner.
And here is my second card this of a bird.

Another fabulous image and I have also printed it onto semi-gloss paper and mounted this one onto green card, again the papers come from the same Design Set, and the die cuts are again Tattered Lace, and the strip down the middle was punched with the Martha Steward Bird Border Punch.
I still have four more cards to create so as I make them I will post them for you to see and Im sure you will want to get your hands on this CD as soon as it becomes available on March 17th on Create and Craft.

A Card for this weeks "Polka Dots" Challenge on Sundays with Santa

Good Evening Crafters, well its been awhile since I posted a card here, but its been a busy week for me and I did make this last week and have been meaning to post it before now. Anyway this weeks Facebook Sundays with Santa is "Polka Dots" and I have used this Funky Kits Fairy Image for my card, Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels Die No.1 to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount out of red card. Before sticking it to the mount I used glitter on her wings and star wand and snow writing on her cuffs.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and a first mount of red card and the papers are from Cupcake Crafting and Ive used three different colour choices in red, blue and pale blue in different combinations. For the second paper I have cut a strip and used a Martha Stewart lace edge, and on top is another mount with the dark blue on it.
The mounted image was then placed in the center with three Candi buttons down the right hand side, and the sentiment was diecut using the Papercraft dies and placed along the bottom right hand corner.

A Card using one of the beautiful Aurora Wings Images

Good Afternoon All, well guess what is dry and cloudy so I suppose it wont be long before it starting raining yet again, I dont know about you but Im really cheesed of with it all, though my daffs are starting to bud up so maybe we will get Spring a little earlier than last year keep your fingers crossed we might be lucky.
Yesterday at last my dear grandson Joe eventually got his operation to have his pins removed from his arm, you might remember he had a terrible accident last July and it was touch and go as to whether they would save his arm but hes been really lucky and its doing well though Joe wasnt to happy with the skin craft as it was rather ugly and looked liked raw meat. They have supposed to have tidied it up for him and Im sure anything will be better than what it was and might give Joe the confidence to leave of the bandage he had kept on it since it healed. Here he is just after his op.
Hes such a commando type boy so I suppose it wont be long before hes upto climbing yet again and I just hope hes more careful about falling out of trees, or at least I sincerely hope so. Anyway todays card has been created using the gorgeous Aurora Wings Images and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used a oval die to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of Aquarmine blue card and the papers are from the Sweetshoppe Designs Digi Paper Set,  "A Year of Firsts" and I have used two papers and layered them up, then used Tattered Lace Chantilly Lace Heart Corners in two opposite ones, and then placed the mounted image in the center, then to finish of I have placed three roses in the bottom left hand corner and in the top right hand corner I have placed 5 pearls down the two sides.

Another Card for Sundays with Santa Challenge

Good Morning Crafters, this weeks Challenge over on Facebook for Sundays with Santa is a "Snowflake" one and I thought I would use this Magnolia image of Edwin as my one for this theme. I have stamped him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, afterwards I cut him out with my Nestabilitie Labels Die No.1 with a scalloped one for the mount. The sentiment down the right hand side is one from Papercrafts and cut out of blue card.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card and the papers are from Nitwits "Snow Folk" digi paper set, I have used three designs and the first a pale blue background with snowflakes on and the second is a embossed one with sentiments on and the third a darker blue background with yet more snowflakes on.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and to finish of I have used three snowflake diecuts to layer up and position in the bottom left hand corner of my image.

A Card for a Special Grandson

Good Morning Crafters, well it was pouring of rain when I awoke at 4am this morning but now at 12noon the sun is out and its looking a lot better, but weve been warned its not going to last and Im so fed up with this awful weather and Im sure you are to.
This Saturday one of my grandsons Joe is due for a operation this is to remove the pins that were inserted last July into his left arm to stabilize a bad break he had falling out of a tree, he will also has to have his skin craft scar tidied up as at the moment its not looking particularly nice more like raw meat than flesh and hes finding it to much to look at and is wearing a bandage over it so others cannot see it either.
So I created this card for him using a Whimsey Doodles image this was printed onto white card then coloured with my copic pens then I cut it out with my rotatrim and layered it up on a piece of blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of blue card and the papers are from Sweetshoppes "Bumps and Bruises" digi paper set. I have used two papers the first a sentiment one and the second a spot on. I then placed my mounted image in the center and across the bottom right hand corner I have put a peel off sentiment.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Facebook Challenge

Good Morning All, guess what its raining yet again, our dog is really p....d of with it, she looks out of the door when we are about to go for a walk and her expression is getting "You must be Joking" but of course she has to go as you can hardly train a dog to use the toilet can you. Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks "Birds" challenge over on Sundays with Santa on Facebook, I have used this sweet penquin for my image and printed it onto white card and coloured it with my copic pens and I have put glitter on the hats fur and bobble, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.34 to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one I cut out with a die out of blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and the paper is from Nitwits Snow Folks digi paper set, then on top I have placed a square doily from Krafty Hands, around the middle I have wrapped a blue satin ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the center and the sentiment is down below.

Bluebell Imp from Aurora Wings

Good Afternoon All, its still raining here in Gloucestershire plus which its rather windy to as we found out when we went shopping in Gloucester this morning, we had to do a detour as a rather large tree had come down across the main road and Ive no doubt it will be a few hours before they can clear it.
Anyway todays card has been made for a very dear friend of mine who absolutely loves Bluebells and as shes going through a very hard time at the moment (her hubby has been having chemo) I thought I would send her a card and hopefully cheer her up so this is the result. I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I cut her out with a oval Nestabilitie Die and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and the paper is from one of Joanna Sheens CDs and I have placed a piece of blue lace and ribbon around the card and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I also cut out with one of the die-lights dies the flowers that I have stuck under the ribbon on the right hand side, and then placed the mount image on the left. And the sentiment is one from my stash thats been cut out and placed at the bottom on the right hand side.

Missy my Yorkie

My poor little Yorkie Missy has not been well for several days and this morning we had to take her back to the Vets, shes picked up a stomach virus and although she seemed to be better yesterday today she still has a temperature and on antibiotics so shes having problems keeping herself warm and has taken to cuddling herself up in the folded bedspread throw I have on the settee in my Craft room. Its been a expensive month for us this last month, shes not only had stomach problems she also had a bad dose of conjunctivitus and is having steroid drops for this as well. Mind you it makes you wonder how many people would take the time to make sure their animals are in good health as the virus she has picked up must have been dropped by some other animal on its walk or prowl.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Facebook Challenge - "Non Traditional Colours"

Good Morning fellow Crafters, well its not raining at the moment but the clouds are on their way back so I guess we shall have some presently. My hubby and I are feeling rather tired this morning as our dog Missy was up every 2 hours with a tummy problems (I wont go into details) and needed to go outside, poor little girl she really did look sorry for herself this morning. She unfortunately does have a sensitive stomach and it causes no end of problems and this is probably a bug shes picked up with her sniffing in places she shouldnt. Ive rung the Vet (even on a Sunday) and shes suggested just giving her a Kaolin paste and no food so keep your fingers crossed it works as we certainly need a good night sleep tonight.
Todays card has been created with the Knitted Heart image from Funky Kits and as the Challenge is all about non traditional colours for a Christmas card I had to put my thinking cap on and this is what I came up with, I coloured her with my copics then cut her out with the new Labels 34 from Nestabilities and I have used a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment was stamped onto a banner and cut out and another for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of purple card and the papers are from Nitwits "Snow Princess" digi paper set, the first a purple paper with white stars on and the second is a floral one which I have cut a strip and I have used a snowflake border punch from Martha Stewart. The third a green strip one.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and stuck three different sized pearls down the side in the two alternative corners and the sentiment across the bottom.
