A Trip to a Welsh Steam Train Station
A Trip to Slimbridge
A Trip to Dean Forest Steam Railway
A Trip to the SS Great Britain, Bristol
Good Afternoon Everyone, I do hope you enjoy seeing some of the photos taken of my two grandsons Daniel and Oliver while theyve been staying with us for the last week, its been a busy week but theyve now gone to their other grandparents for a holiday at Weston Super Mare. Weve been so lucky with the weather its been beautiful all accept a wet day on Friday, but as they spent most of the day inside a play centre I dont think it bothered them to much. I hope to be back to normal by the end of the week and I do have some cards being posted on My No.1 blog if youd like to pop over there I hope that you will enjoy what you see.

Missy

Good Morning Everyone, I guess youve been suffering from the same sort of weather that we have, its been raining and sunning but no rainbows. Im still trying to sort out little ones toilet training at the moment shes been clean indoors for two days lets hope shes getting the message though its not easy when it keeps raining, though she isnt to bothered if its just spitting but not if its heavy and Im not to happy about the rain at all as I have to stand outside with an umbrella to stop getting wet.
This is going to be my last post for a couple of weeks as Im going to be busy with my grandsons visiting and trying to keep my No.1 blog upto date so I hope you will forgive me for that.
Take care see you sometime in the first week of August.

A Card for Just Magnolia's "Pink and Purple" Challenge

Good Afternoon All, well Ive actually managed to create a card for this No.2 Blog and I will be entering it into the Just Magnolia "Pink and Purple" challenge and any other one I can find on my travels. I dont know if youve been suffering from the rain today but its certainly been rather heavy first thing this morning but from about 11am its been dry and sunny, but the black clouds are gathering so I suspect they will bring the rotten rain back again soon, it certainly causes trouble trying to get Missy house trained.
Anyway to get back to my card, Ive used this sweet image of Tilda in her Bridesmaid dress, and Ive colured her with my copic and tria pens, then used the Heart from the Xcut new Nestabilitie dies, It was then stuck on a Heartland Die from Cherry Lynn. The sentiment is one from my stash that been mounted on a strip of mauve card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for the first mount Ive used a pink pearlescent card and one of two papers from the Henbury Lane paper set from Papermania, this first paper is a white background with pink scroll on, the second is a mauve spot one thats been cut into a 5" square and Ive used a heart border and corner punch on it, this was then layered on top of the first mount. I then used a piece of lace across the middle and threaded a strip of mauve seam binding ribbon through the holes, was then attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then stuck in the middle and a triple bow again made with the seam binding was stuck to the left of it, I also used a mauve cut out heart that was left from the mount and stuck this at the top on the right with a white pearl heart in the middle. The sentiment was stuck at the bottom on the right hand side.
To finish of Ive created a spray of mauve and pink roses in different sizes on top of some punched out leaves with some silicone glue in the top left hand corner.

Sundays with Santa - "Baubles"

Good Morning Everyone, well the sun is out and Im hoping it stays that way but know our luck I somehow doubt it. Hubby is trying to fix a another socket for me, so all the electricity downstairs is all turned of so Ive been banished upstairs out of the way, and Missy is in her cage having a snooze. She was very late this morning actually managed to sleep till 6.30am when I went down to let her out, normally she has us up a lot earlier than that, but perhaps shes begining to realise we oldies need a bit of a lie in you never know your luck.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Sundays with Santa "Baubles" Challenge over on Facebook, and Ive used this sweet image of Mo Mannings "Babys 1st Christimas", Ive printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, Ive also used some glossy accents for the bauble, then cut it out with the circle Nestabilitie Die and the lacey circle for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and I believe its one of Pink Gems clear ones, and Ive also used the smaller lacey die for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and I only used one paper and this is one of Donna's Bearlymine Designs its from her "Christmas Dreams" digi set, and its a red background with lots of baubles on it, on top of this around the middle I have wrapped a red spot wired ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount, then I cut a bauble out of the same red card from one of the Spellbinders Heirloom Set, and ran it through my cuttlebug in a bauble embossing folder this was then positioned to the left of the card.
I then stuck my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, to finish of I have stuck three baubles down the right hand side, these were made with some shrink plastic many moons ago.

A Card for a Few Challenges

Good Evening All, Im so sorry for being so lapse in posting a card that I thought I really ought to make an extra effort and here is the result, actually its one of two images that I coloured yesterday for a DT card and I had this left and thought it would make a lovely card for a few Challenges, so here we go. This is a image from Bildmalarna isnt she sweet, Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, I then used the Nestabilitie Die No.17 to cut her out then used it again for the mount by drawing around the die and cutting it out by hand from some mauve card. The sentiment is one from my stash and have done the same thing with this as it I did the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of mauve card and one of three papers from the Kay Miller Downloads this one is called "Wings" and this first paper is a mauve background with lots of butterflies and flowers on it, the second is a stripped one that Ive cut into a 5"square then used the Butterfly Border and Corner punches on it, this was then layered at angle on top of the first paper, the third one is a strip with a spotted pattern on a green background and this was stuck down the card.
On top of this is a piece of lace that Ive had threaded a mauve seam binding through and then attached it to the back of the first mount, I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I then tied a triple bow and stuck it on top of the lace on the left hand side.
The next thing I did was stuck a spray of five roses in the top left hand corner on top of some punched out rose leaves, and the last thing is the large butterfly in the top right hand corner, and then with some stickles I ran it along the edges of the roses and the middle of the butterfly.

Nutty Puppy

I must again apologise for not being around much, Ive had 3 Challenge cards posted on my No.1 Blog but here on two Ive been very lapse. To be honest I got bitten by a horsefly on my left ear on Monday, then yesterday I had a blood test booked the nurse took one look at my ear and told me to let a doctor have a look as it was swollen and was weeping with fluid all the time, and had spread down my neck, today its a bit better but its still causing me some problems and its rather sore and itchy to.
We also have had a busy week, today Missy had to go and have a microchip popped in under her skin between her shoulder blades, and tomorrow weve got a new fridge coming a replacement for a 4 year old one thats got a small leak and they carnt repair it, so it was easier for them to replace it instead.
I will try and get a card posted soon so in the meantime I thought you might like to see our potty puppy playing with a stone in our backgarden.

Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Sundays with Santa and this weeks theme is "Animals" and Ive used this sweet Lili of the Valley image and stamped her onto white card then used my copics and tria pens to colour it, I then used the Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut it out, then used the die yet again and drew around the die to create the mount of red card, the sentiment is yet another of the stamps from LOV and this one has been mounted on red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card with one of three papers from the Papermania Classic Christmas paper set, the first is a white background with dear and holly on, the second is a red polka dot paper and the third is holly design on white paper. The mounted image was then positioned in the centre and the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. The final thing is the Poinsetta thats been glittered with stickles and stuck in the top left hand corner with some punched out holly leaves.
