My Card with my winning Inky Impressions Image

Good Afternoon Crafters, I was lucky enough to win the above image on Facebook last week and I thought that as soon as I had a few free moments I would create a card with it, and this is the result. Isnt she gorgeous Ive printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used the rectangle die to cut her out and a Detailed Scallop one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark blue card, and the papers are from Sweetshoppe Digi Downloads and this one is called "Thats Life" and although I think is really a American paper set I thought it went well with the theme of the stamp, the first is a red, white and blue stripe one with stars on it, so I used the second paper a dark blue one and a red check one and I cut it across the left bottom corner and on the edge I used a star border punch on it, then across the top I have used a union flag ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the center and I used three candi buttons in the bottom left and the last flourish is the solder button and this was placed at the top on the right.

Yet another of the new Fairy stamps from Funky Kits

Funky kits have released a new set of Fairy Glen stamps and this is one of them, my second one from the set, I have stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I have used Nestabilitie Labels Die 28 to cut her out then drawn around the die to create the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a pink first mount and then I have used one of the beautiful Maja papers, this is a cream background with pink floral sprays on, then I have laid a square doily on top and wrapped a piece of crushed ribbon around the middle (I did use my copic pen on it to colour it) and attached to the back of the first mount.
The mounted image was then placed in the centre with a sentiment that I have stamped and mounted on yet another piece of pink card and placed at the bottom of the right hand corner.

A Card using one of the new Sugar Nellie Fairy Stamps

Good Morning Crafters, I knew I should have said anything yesterday as guess what is pouring with rain today, so the lovely weather didnt last very long did it? Oh well perhaps my card will bring a bit of sunshine into your lives, this image is one of the 6 new "Return to Fairy Glen" stamps and I have used this sweet image for my card, isnt she cute.
Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.4 and a decorative one for the mount. The sentiment has been stuck on a La La Land folded banner die.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of dark mauve card, the papers I have used are from First Editions "New Bloom" paper pad, the first a cream background with diamonds on, the second a doily pattern with glitter on it, and the third a reverse of the first one with a mauve background with cream diamonds on it.
Ive layered them up as shown and then wrapped a piece of lace with ribbon threaded through the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was then placed towards the left on top of a circle of spiders web, then I placed the sentiment at the bottom on the right and the last thing is the flourish from Die-namics thats been stuck down the right side of the card and three punched out (Tonic) flowers with some of the left over paper and three gems stuck in the center of them.

Gorgeous Digi Images from Lacy Sunshine

Good Morning Crafters, well the sun is out and its quite warm here in Gloucestershire today, and Im not going to shout in case it decides to change. Today is the day my hubby has to go for his pre op tests ready for his skin operation on July 12th, so hes very worried that they will decide to keep him in hospital over night, but hes been promised it will be just a day operation and he will be allowed home once he recovers from the happy pills as hes been told their called. I do hope the reassure him he will be ok, he has to be in Gloucester by 8am so it will be a extremely early start for him, especially if he has to travel from here in the rush hour, oh well lets hope it gets sorted today one way or another.
Back to this gorgeous image, Ive just been introduced to Lacy Sunshine images, they are so cute and very reasonable to you will find them here, I chose to use this one for my first card and have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her. Afterwards I have used my oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out and a Cheery Lynn Swedish die for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of bright pink card with three papers from the Sweetshoppe "A Perfect Birthday" the girls edition, the first is a white background with swirly flowers on, the second is a check one and the third a plain pink paper, then on top I have wrapped a piece of lace around the card with a thin ribbon along the top, I then created a triple bow and have stuck it to the lace on the left hand side, and a sparkly brad on top.
The mounted image was then placed in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the left. To finish of I have created a flower spray down the side of the image with roses, pins, and a couple of other flower sprays.

My second card using the new Whiff of Joy Stamps

Good Morning Crafters as promised this is the second card using the new Whiff of Joy stamps, this one is just gorgeous and I must say probably my most favorite of the two, but I know we all have different ideas about what we like best. I have stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I have used Nestabilitie Labels Die 4 to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one of my CC stamps and has been stamped on to a spare piece of card then mounted also on a piece of pink card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of pink card, the papers I have used are from Sweethshoppe "If the Shoe Fits" digi paper set, I love using these papers as they have a fabulous choice of sets, Im sure you will enjoy a browse if you get a chance and heres the link to their shop Sweet Shoppe Designs. I have used several papers, the first is a pretty floral one and the second is a pink one which I have used for a doily, then on top is a white doily.
Ive then placed a third mount of a small check one down the right hand side, and then placed my mounted image towards the left.
The sentiment is placed across the bottom right, and to finish of I have used some of the papers left to create the flowers that have been moulded and then layered up and placed on two pink flourishes in the top right hand corner.

A new Whiff of Joy Stamp

This week I bought the two stamps from Whiff of Joy from "Bunny Zoes" and this is one of them, I loved her hair and couldnt wait to have a try and colouring it. Ive used my copic pens to colour it then cut it out with Nestabilitie Labels Die No.28 to cut it out then used the die to draw around to make the mount for it. The sentiment also came with the image and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of mauve card and the papers I have used are from Sweet Shoppe Digi Downloads and this set are "Annabella" I have used three of the papers, the first is a pretty pink with butterflies on, the second a mauve one and the third a spotty one thats been placed across the middle.
The mounts were place as shown with a square doily laid under the third mount, the mounted image was then placed in the center with the sentiment at the bottom across the right hand corner. To finish of I have used some mauve spider web and several roses in pink and mauve, and placed on top of the spiders web with two tear drop pins and with two pearl strays into a flower spray in the top left hand corner.

Yet another card for this weeks Sundays with Santa Challenge

Good Evening Crafters well the sun is out but the sky is rather dark in places so I suspect its going to turn to rain, it just doesnt seem to want to last. Well this weeks theme over on Sundays with Santa Challenge over on Facebook is "Shades of Blue" though someone originally thought it might be "Shades of Grey" I wonder if shes hoping? Oh well I decided to use the new Tonic 4 day deal over on Create and Craft, though they are beautiful dies I must admit the punches arnt exactly as good as I expected, the one I have used on this pearlescent card jammed up when I tried to use it around the edge of the card, so I had to accept it didnt like it and then just use it on the corners.
I have used white pearlescent for the base card then used the Tonic dies for the top layer, Ive used two different ones and have placed a piece of pale blue card behind the smaller cut out, though its not to easy to see.
I also cut out the sentiment with the Cheery Lynn dies and placed them across the middle of the card, and to finish of I have used three blue poinsetta's and two fancy white flowers, I then placed them in the bottom left hand corner sticking them to the card with silicone glue on top of some punches out holly leaves.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Facebook Challenge

I know its ages since I actually posted a card here on my second blog, but the last few weeks have been so busy I dont know whether Im on my head or my heels, and its not going to get any easier, I have two of my grandsons coming to stay at the end of July, and we are of for a few days holiday before they arrive, we are going to Looe in Cornwall and to meet up with our very special friends from Guernsey. Im so looking forward to catching up with all the news and to seeing their gorgeous little boy Nicolas, hes now two and no doubt full of mischief.
We shall also be going to Scotland in October as my eldest daughter is due to get married and her son Andy will be giving her away in his full RAF uniform, Im really looking forward to that and Ive now got to sort out what Im going to wear but I might leave it till nearer the day as you never know what the weather is likely to be like then.
Anyway back to todays card its been created for this weeks "Travel" theme for the Sundays with Santa Facebook Challenge, and I have used these two skiing, they look as if they are having fun? The image is one of Mo Mannings and Ive printed them onto white card then used my copics to colour it, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut it out and mounted it onto a piece of red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and the paper was one I found floating around in one of my boxes (hoarded item), I have then wrapped a red ribbon around the middle and stuck it to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was then place in the middle.

My Laburnam

My Laburnam is a explosion of flowers this year and I actually can see the white clematis thats also coming out, its the first time that I have noticed that. I do apologise for not posting much this week, I have been rather busy.
The field you can see in the background has planning permission for 150 houses with the field next to us, and we are dreading when thats likely to start, the dust and mud is a real worry as the land slopes down into our estate then into town, just hope we dont have to much flooding because of others greed.

And the Very Proud Parents on Jacob's Special Day

What a wonderful weekend my husband and I have just spent visiting my grandson Andy and my first great grandson Jacob, and we were so lucky with the weather it was beautiful. As you can see Andrew is absolutely smitten with his son and is a brilliant hands on Dad and will do all those jobs that most men will shy away from. Im so proud of him hes one very special person.
I also saw how happy this little baby has made my eldest daughter Karen, her partner and his family, shes so thrilled to be Jacobs grandmother.
Both Laura and Andrew are two very special people and make a very happy couple and Jacobs arrival has really been the icing on the cake for them both, and I want to wish them all much happiness and to thank them and my daughter and family for giving me one very special weekend. I also want to thank Laura's family who really did a wonderful job on the reception afterwards we had lots to eat and Laura made a beautiful cake which was really scrummy to as you can see.
