Magnolia - Stella

Another beautiful day and Ive decided to wash two sets of curtains, as one of them has heavy blackout linings I thought if it stays as nice as it was yesterday I will get them dry and then put back up at the windows.
I just thought you might like to see my Magnolia its really beautiful at the moment, I should have taken the photo yesterday as I thought last night I do hope we dont have a frost but I was lucky and here it is in all its majesty.

Anyway this is sample No.5 isnt he gorgeous this Panda, its always daunting when you start to make samples for people you never know if your doing the right design, but I do love this gateleg shape and I hope Sarah likes it to.
Ive printed the image on photo paper then mounted it onto silver holographic card, the backing papers come from the CD and the insert also, I havent put a sentiment on it as I like the one of the image, Ive also used some corner peel offs just to finish it of.
I do hope you like this card.

Sample No.2 for Sarah

Good Afternoon Everyone, well I do hope your enjoying the gorgeous weather we have at the moment, its certainly lovely and warm here in Gloucestershire, I even took the dog for a walk a hour ago and she thoroughly enjoyed running around the fields, shes now fast asleep by the side of me thank goodness as she gets very insistant when she wants to go for a walk, she kept putting her nose under my hand and trying to get on my lap when Im typing.
Anyway heres my second sample for Sarah, he makes me smile and thought it would make a lovely "Thinking of You" card, especially if your feeling a bit down. I have printed it again onto photo paper and used two of the backing papers for the front and have also used a Martha Stewart border and corner punch to give it a bit more punch. I do hope you like it.

Sarah's Brand new CD "Laugh out Loud"

Good Afternoon Everyone, Ive just finished my first sample for Sarah Hallam's brand new CD and this one is "Laugh out Loud" and believe me when I tell you I did smile at some of the characters so Im hoping as my samples are made it will also bring some hilarity into your life also. Anyway heres the front page of the CD
And Sarah will be previewing the CD in April so these are all sneaky peaks I do hope you will enjoy them as much as I did, and here is my first sample.
And this cheetah is getting into the spirit of party going I printed the image onto photo paper and printed a second copy of the image and cut out the hat and decoupaged it on top of the first one, and then mounted it onto gold mirri board and brown textured card.
The backingpapers are from the same design set as the image and I have used it also on the inside of the card. Across the centre is another piece of the same brown card as the first mount and I have used the EK Success paw print border punch along both sides, on top is a strip of another of the backing papers and Ive done the same with the border punch then around the middle is a grosgrain that has been attached to the back and then stuck on top of the first paper.
I then positioned my mounted image to the left and the sentiment at the bottom on the right, this is one of the Whimsey stamps.
I do hope you like this first sample, as I have six to create I will post them as and when I can get them done.

A Card for Sugary Sundays on Facebook

Good Morning Everyone, only one more day and then we are of to the NEC and I love going to their looking at all those lovely crafty goodies, will be taking hubby and is card to buy it for me, so thats a bonus. Anyway this week over on facebook we have yet another colour challenge and this week its this
a lovely mixture of blues, green and yellow, and I hope they will be happy with the way I chose to use them, this is one of the new Ribbonista images that Ive coloured from Funky Kits and I then used my large Nestabilitie Rectangle to cut her out, and drew around the die to create the mount for it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and then Ive used three papers from the Nitwits "Summer Breeze" digi paper set, the first paper is a large daisy pattern on a white background the second is a small flower paper and the third a blue background with white daisy outlines on it.
The mounted image was positioned to the left and the sentiment Ive put at a angle as it wouldnt fit at the bottom, and to finish of Ive used a die-cut rose bloom die to cut out some left over paper and created a rolled flower with it and positioned it in the top right hand corner on some punched out leaves. The final flourish is a Epiphany flower button than I have threaded some ribbon through and tied in a know.

A Card for Sunday with Santa on Facebook

Good Evening All, I know Ive been especially lazy this week for making cards, I did make about 6 but havent been able to post them as they are mostly DT cards for future challenges, anyway I did make this one and the one below for posting on here, and this one is for this weeks Sundays with Santa on Facebook and this weeks Challenge was "Presents" and I chose this gorgeous image of Tilda with a pressie, I wonder whats in that box, perhaps a doll for a friend or maybe shoes, oh well we shall never know.
Ive coloured her with my copic and tria pens then used Nestabilitie Die No.4 to cut it out, then drew around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and I have used  three papers from Raspberry Road Freebie papers, and they are Christmas ones, the first a tree pattern on a red background the second a snowflake pattern and the third a present pattern on a yellow background and on the last two I have used a present border punch down both sides and layered them up on top of the bottom mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, and to finish of I have used three diecut snowflakes and layered them up and stuck them in the top left hand corner.

A Card for Sugary Sundays on Facebook

Good Afternoon Crafters, well I dont know about you but for the last few days weve had fog most of the day, I suppose it might be that we are surrounded with water from the Severn and the Wye, but its getting to be a real pest. Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Challenge over on Sugary Sundays "Anything Goes" and Ive used this sweet image from Funky Kits and stamped it onto white card before colouring it with my copics and tria pens, afterwards I used the large rectangle die to cut it out, and cut a mount out of dark purple card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of the same dark purple card and three papers from the First Edition "Dreamcatcher" paper pad, a very pretty purple background with pink flowers and butterflies on, the second and third mounts are of fern leaves and have been mounted at angles to each other, then I have wrapped a satin and organza ribbon around the card and tied a bow and stuck it to the right of the card.
The mounted image was then positioned towards the left with the sentiment below the ribbon on the right. To finish of I have cut a doily out of tissue paper and folded it in half and on top I have stuck punched out fern leaves and five lilies in shades of pink and lilac.

Sundays with Santa "Holly"

Good Afternoon Everyone, well its gorgeous outside and quite mild, I will have to take her ladyship out for a walk presently as she always starts to get fidgety about 1.30pm, as hubby normally takes her but as hes volunteering today its my turn to take her. She loves her walk and weve also started letting her of the lead to run around, and she loves that but Id better but my wellies on as the field is still rather wet and muddy and I dont want to come back with all the mud on my shoes as hubby did this morning.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks "Sundays with Santa" challenge over on Facebook, this week its themed "Holly" and I didnt bother looking for an image with holly on I thought as Id printed his gorgeous Paper Shelter one Id use this one instead. I coloured her with my copic and tria pens then used a circle Nestabilie Die to cut her out, and used the picot edged circle die for the mount. The sentiment is a Just Rite stamp thats been cut with a small circle die, Ive coloured the holly also before mounting it on a larger circle mount.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the paper I have used is a Bearlymine Design paper a blue background with sentiments and holly pattern on, Ive then wrapped a white ribbon with holly on around the middle and positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side.
To finish of Ive cut several holly leaves out of dark green paper and with two holly berries sprays layered them up on the card in the top left hand corner and stuck them to the card with some silicone glue.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge - "A Sketch" and Spring

Good Afternoon Everyone, well like my No.1 blog Ive been rather lapse posting anything here for a few days, but today I have a card that I created for this weeks Sugar Bowl "Sketch" challenge and for their Sugery Sunday Challenge on Facebook. Ive used this sweet image of "A walk in the Park" for my card, and coloured it with my copic and tria pens, then used a Hexagon die from Spellbinders, and used a larger one for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of turquoise card and three papers from the Papermania "Boofle" paper set, the first paper is a blue background with a white heart on, the second one is a patchwork paper and the third is a brown check one side and dark brown on the other, and I have used this to my advantage on the last three mounts across the top.
I then positioned my mounted image towards the right with the sentiment below, I then popped two Candi buttons on the right top and bottom of the card, and the last thing is the brown leaf flourishes down the left handside with a punched out flower thats been stuck in the centre of the two flourishes.
