Aurora Wings "Bluebell Sprite"

Good Afternoon Crafters, and as its only hours away Happy New Year as well, I hope its a even better one for you than the last one. Ive been busy just lately making my DT cards and this was one that I had extra and I thought I would create a card with it.
Its the Aurora Wings "Bluebell Sprite" and I have a very dear friend who lost her hubby this year who absolutely adores them and will make special trips to woods to see them when they are in full bloom, for me I love the smell as well and this little image is so right to.
I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, Ive tried to get the blue/mauve colour as possible as Im not sure they are totally blue, and I have white ones and pink ones in my garden. I then cut her out with my Nestabilitie Die Lables No.8 and then a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have mounted this onto a piece of blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is blue card and the papers are from Wild Roses "Bluebell" paper pad and the second paper is just a strip thats been punched down the edge and placed on the right and then on top I have place some die cuts from Wild Rose and Nestabilitie dies.
I then placed my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment was placed at the bottom on the right and the last flourish are the three dark blue gems in the left hand corner.
This Card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

A Card for Sugar Nellies "Anything Goes" Challenge

Good Morning Crafters, I wasnt sue if these Oriental papers go with my image so I hope you will forgive me if you feel they dont but I couldnt find any purple ones among my stash papers so I have these Oriental ones from Papermania.
The image is one of the new Oriental Girls from Funky Kits here, and I have used one of the two they have to offer at the moment, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut her out and purple die pad to distress the background. I then layered her up on some mauve card. The sentiment is one from my stash and this has also been mounted onto a piece of mauve card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of mauve card and I have used two of the papers from the Papermania pad a white background with gold bamboo design on, the second is a red one with characters on it. Down the middle I have placed a piece of white card thats been run through the ebosser and a embossing folder.

A Card for the FabnFunky Challenge

Good Morning Crafters, I was send a email yesterday by one of our Team Members and she suggested you might like to see one of The Paper Shelters pre-coloured images and this is called "Santa Selfie" which as probably most of you  have done is very much the in thing at the moment and of course Veronica and Pedro of The Paper Shelter felt they should get in on the act to.
You will find the "Santa Selfie" here on their website and I printed it onto semi-glossy paper and cut it out and mounted it onto red card.
The sentiment is one from Papercraft Dies and was placed down the right hand side, and the snowflake is several punched out with a Martha Stewart Snowflake dies and layered up and placed in the top left hand corner with a large pearl stuck in the middle.

A card using the Pink Gem "Emma" image

This week I decided to print some of the beautiful images I have of young ladies and this one is from Pink Gem Designs and her name is "Emma" and you will find her here, I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour. Afterwards I used large oval to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of pink card.

I cannot believe its almost a month since I posted anything on this No.2 blog, but its been a busy month full of things, firstly I had trouble with my right eye, I had a hole in my retina that needed lazering and then followup appointments, then the dog Missy was very ill, and yet more Vet appointments, then we had a week away in Guernsey with our friends which was absolutely lovely and the weather was so kind to us to. Also my eldest grandson arrived back from Afghanistan are a tour of duty there, Im just hoping that this will be his last trip hes already done 3 turns there so its time they let him stay home with his son Jacob, whos now walking and he does miss him so much. And the latest is my sweet great grandson Jacob has developed Chickenpox from his cousins so I have a feeling hes not a happy chappy.
Anyway todays card was created from a idea of Sue Wilsons but I have turned it into a Christmas card. I have used two colours of pale green and white for my design plus the poinsetta in the top left hand corner. The dies I used are also Sue Wilsons so I do hope you like the end result.

A Christmas card created for Sundays with Santa

Good Afternoon, yes I know its been along time since I posted a card here on my No.2 blog but as you will have probably already read that firstly I had my two grandsons staying for a week then my right eye had to have laser treatment due to a torn retina and for the last week we have been looking after our dog Missy who has been really ill, but due to the steriods shes now taking its quite amazing how much they cause a dog to feel hungry, my gran used to say "You lost your appetite and found a Donkeys" and shes certainly done that, we have to watch we done over feed her as she has another 5 days worth of the tablets to go before she finishes, just hope it doesnt revert to the problem we had before with her not eating.
Anyway todays card was created on a idea which Sue Wilson had, she made a slightly smaller card design but some unknown reason mine has come out a lot bigger, but Im not going to reduce it now it will stay the size it is and Im quite happy with the result.
The stamp is a Justrite one and the die also that it is cut out with and layered on, the other diecuts are Nestabilitie dies that have been cut down to create this square, and they are layered on snow ice from Cosmic Shimmer crystals that have been stuck to the card with the double sided sticky film also from Creative Expressions.

Please give a few prayers for my Yorkie

Hi my fellow crafters you might be wondering why I havent been posting on my No.2 for awhile well its mainly because I had my two grandsons staying for a week, then I had problems with my right eye where the jelly on my eye became detached and tore a hole in my retina which meant I had to have it lasered to stitch it up, but if that wasnt enough this last week my Yorkie Missy has not been very well, shes been quiet for awhile but we put it down to the hot weather, but this last week she started vomiting on last Thursday and stopped eating, we took her to the vets who found she had a high temperature, so they gave her a injection for that and a anti sickness drug, which luckily seemed to do the trick but she just wouldnt eat and really was sleeping all the time.
On Saturday we took her back to the vets who tooks some blood which came back with problems with her liver, and she then gave her a Steriod injection  to encourage her to eat and to hopefully buck her up a bit, she did eat yesterday even rather poorly, but this morning she has gone for more blood tests and a ultrascan on her liver to see how much damage has been done and hopefully find a way of helping her back to better health.
Im so worried for her as she is unable to tell us whats going on, and she really didnt want to stay with the vets but its the only way we are going to find out whats going on, so I would appreciate it if you could keep your fingers crossed and say a few prayers that the tests come back with the answer to her problem.
UPDATE
Ultrasound came back OK so there hasnt been any permanent damage to her liver, we just have to encourage her to eat and keep giving her the steriods and the antibiotics, still not sure whats caused it but it seems on of my neighbours has also had the same problem with their dog to, it starts with the dog vomiting and then going completely of their food and having problems the other end as well, so if you find your dog or cat has a similar problem take them to the vets straight away.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Facebook Challenge "Shades of White"

Im so sorry that its been so long now since I posted a card but its been rather hectic in my house over the last week and a half and tomorrow guess what we are having faster broadband installed so I do hope it doesnt mean we will be without broadband for to long.
Anyway here is a card I made just before my grandsons came to stay, its for the Facebook Sundays with Santa "Shades of White" Challenge, its created with Sue Wilsons beautiful dies and one of the Embossalicious Embossing Folders.
I have used a piece of white pearlescent card and ran it though my ebosser and a snowflake embossing folder, then on top I have wrapped a piece of white ribbon and attached it to the back of the this mount.
On top I have cut out one of the large rectangle die shapes from Sue Wilson and another smaller one on which I have stamped a sentiment from my stash. I then used yet another piece of white pearlescent card and diecut a large snowflake out and used a smaller on and embossed the center with it, and die cut a even smaller snowflake which has been mounted in the center.

More Cards for the Inspirational Pink Gem Designs Blog

Good Morning Crafters, I did promise to show the other two cards I managed to get created over the weekend, I have been so busy lately that I have rather neglected my No.2 blog and Im going to be missing for another week as I have my two grandsons coming to stay for a holiday, so you can image I get turfed out of my Craft Room and I am unable to make anything till they go back home.
Anyway these two pre-made cards are from Pink Gem Designs and you will find them here on their  website.
I have used two designs of Chloe, the first is on the beach and the second is of Chloe in a window with her cat. I printed them onto card then cut them out and layered them up, easy and so quick that it only takes probably 30 mins to create one.
I do hope that you will pay a visit to Janets Pink Gem Designs website and see for yourself what gorgeous images she has to sell you.

Another card for the Aurora Wings "Christmas in July" Facebook Challenge

Good Morning Crafters, yes I know its early to be creating Christmas Cards but I hope you will forgive me as its a theme for the months Facebook Challenge over on the Aurora Wings Page, I have used this sweet Christmas Fairy for my card and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, I then used the Nestabilitie Grand Oval die to cut her out and then added glitter to her wings and collar and cuffs, just to add texture.
The Sentiment is one from my stash thats been stamped onto white card and mounted onto a piece of red card. The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card with a first mount of red card and the papers I have used are from the First Edition Christmas papers the first is a red background with snowflakes, and the second is a what background with red sentiments on, and the third is a smaller snowflake on a red background.
I then placed my mounted image in the center and the sentiment is placed in the bottom right hand corner. I then used a Memory box Precious Bell die and cut two different sized bells and these were placed down the left hand corner, and to finish of I have used a red rose with four buds in the top left hand corner on top of some punched out leaves fixed to the corner with silicone glue.
