Good Afternoon Crafters, and as its only hours away Happy New Year as well, I hope its a even better one for you than the last one. Ive been busy just lately making my DT cards and this was one that I had extra and I thought I would create a card with it.
Its the Aurora Wings "Bluebell Sprite" and I have a very dear friend who lost her hubby this year who absolutely adores them and will make special trips to woods to see them when they are in full bloom, for me I love the smell as well and this little image is so right to.
I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, Ive tried to get the blue/mauve colour as possible as Im not sure they are totally blue, and I have white ones and pink ones in my garden. I then cut her out with my Nestabilitie Die Lables No.8 and then a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and I have mounted this onto a piece of blue card.
The base card is a 6.50"x 6.50" white card and the first mount is blue card and the papers are from Wild Roses "Bluebell" paper pad and the second paper is just a strip thats been punched down the edge and placed on the right and then on top I have place some die cuts from Wild Rose and Nestabilitie dies.
I then placed my mounted image towards the left and the sentiment was placed at the bottom on the right and the last flourish are the three dark blue gems in the left hand corner.

A card for the Aurora Wings "Butterflies" Challenge
Ive been itching to get down to colouring another Aurora Wings image and for the 3rd Challenge its all about Butterflies, so I thought this Asian image was just right for it, she is called "Chrysanthemum" and you will find her here, isnt she gorgeous and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her.
I then cut her out with my Nestabilitie Die and used a fancy one for the mount. The sentiment is one that I found on the web and printed it onto white card and mounted this onto a spare piece of mauve card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and the first mount is mauve card and the paper I have used is from Crafters Companion "Oriental" Cd its a daisy type pattern then I used some of the same mauve card and with a large flower embossing folder I ran it through my ebosser. Then around the middle I have wrapped a piece of pink ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I have also used a doily and placed this in the top right hand corner, and before placing my mounted image I have used a Tattered Lace Chrysanthemum Die and cut this out and placed in the bottom left hand corner, I also placed my sentiment in the opposite corner.
To finish of I have also used another of the Tattered Lace dies and this is a Oriental Butterfly and placed in the top right hand corner over looking the mounted image.

A Card for Aurora Wings "Shades of Green" Facebook Challenge
Good Morning Crafters, well its a really beautiful start here in Gloucestershire the sun is out and although its a bit chilly its dry and looking good, hubby is trying to dry out his shed so lets hope the weather stays that way and starts to do its job.
Anyway todays card was created for this months "Shades of Green" Challenge and for this I have used Mermaid with ribbons and I printed her onto white card and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.4 to cut her out and a fancy one for the mount out of green pearlescent card.
The main card is a 7"x 7" white card and the first mount is again of the same green pearlescent card, and the papers are from Sweetshoppes "Cool Colours" digi paper set. I have used four papers of different shades of green, and with three of them I have reduced the size and used a Martha Stewart border punch on them and layered them up across the middle, then wrapped two ribbons around the middle and attached them to the back of the first mount.

A Card using one of the beautiful Aurora Wings Images
Good Afternoon All, well guess what is dry and cloudy so I suppose it wont be long before it starting raining yet again, I dont know about you but Im really cheesed of with it all, though my daffs are starting to bud up so maybe we will get Spring a little earlier than last year keep your fingers crossed we might be lucky.
Yesterday at last my dear grandson Joe eventually got his operation to have his pins removed from his arm, you might remember he had a terrible accident last July and it was touch and go as to whether they would save his arm but hes been really lucky and its doing well though Joe wasnt to happy with the skin craft as it was rather ugly and looked liked raw meat. They have supposed to have tidied it up for him and Im sure anything will be better than what it was and might give Joe the confidence to leave of the bandage he had kept on it since it healed. Here he is just after his op.

Hes such a commando type boy so I suppose it wont be long before hes upto climbing yet again and I just hope hes more careful about falling out of trees, or at least I sincerely hope so. Anyway todays card has been created using the gorgeous Aurora Wings Images and I have printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, afterwards I used a oval die to cut it out and a fancy one for the mount.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with a first mount of Aquarmine blue card and the papers are from the Sweetshoppe Designs Digi Paper Set, "A Year of Firsts" and I have used two papers and layered them up, then used Tattered Lace Chantilly Lace Heart Corners in two opposite ones, and then placed the mounted image in the center, then to finish of I have placed three roses in the bottom left hand corner and in the top right hand corner I have placed 5 pearls down the two sides.

Another card with Aurora Wings Images
Good Afternoon All, I know its a week since I posted a card but its been a real busy one for me, I had a Blog Hop to sort out for today for The Paper Shelter and you will find that on my No.1 blog if you feel like joining in with a chance to win a free digi from them. And not only this I visited my middle daughter Sarah and her family on Sunday thats over 200 miles away and Monday I spent 6 hours ironing and taking up curtains so I was really shattered yestered and then discovered that I needed to write up a Challenge Blog and my own and I had forgotten, I just hope it all works out well even with a couple of hiccups that were discovered after it went live.
Anyway todays card is with this gorgeous Auraro Wings "Poppies" image and I printed her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilities Labels Die No.8 to cut it out and the fancy one for the mount out of red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, the paper I have used is from Kaisercrafts "Remember Me" paper pad, and then on top I have used a gorgeous doily (which I have had for longer than 6 months) which I have edged with red inkpad, around the middle is the cobweb strip and red ribbon and stuck it to the back of the first mount and created a double bow which has been stuck on the left of my mounted image.
Ive not put a sentiment on it at the moment as I think I might need it for someones birthday in the future.
