A Card for Many Challenges

Good Evening All, I hope you all enjoyed the Royal Wedding I know my hubby and I were glued to the screen to watch it, it was brilliant and Catherines dress was gorgeous I love the lace top and the pleats in the skirt were beautiful. Well heres the second card Ive posted today wont be doing any tomorrow as hubby and I are of to Abergevenny for our dinner and a browse around the shops.
I have used this gorgeous image of Tilda and Ive stamped her and coloured her with my copic and Tria pens, then used the oval Nestabilitie die to cut her out and a beaded one for the mount. The sentiment is one of the Magnolia stamps as well, this was cut out with the small labels No.4 and I drew around the die to create the mount for it.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue pearlescent card and one of three papers from the Nitwit Downloads "Promises" paper set, a all over white background with butterflies of several colours, on top is a strip of blue background with white flowers on and Ive used the Butterfly Border punch from Martha Stewart, then on top is the last paper a white background with multi coloured flowers on. I then wrapped a piece of lace around the middle with a strip of blue satin ribbon at the top. I then made a double bow with some seam binding and this was then stuck at the right handside, with a button with yet another bow tied through the holes.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I then punched out a butterfly and this was stuck at the top on the right, I have laid a strip of gems down the middle of it, and then around the beaded oval to. The final touch is the spray of five roses which have been stuck to the card with silicone glue and punched out fern leaves.

My Cupcake

Good Afternoon Everyone, Im sorry theres still no card today but I thought you might like to see what I was up to yesterday, its my first attempt at creating a cupcake, you will find lots of tutorials around the internet so I wont try and explain how I did make it, but give you this link to the one I chose to use http://crafteezee.blogspot.com/2011/04/brewing-treat-cupcake-tutorial.html this is one of my fellow DT team members, and I found it very useful for my attempt at creating this. My hubby reakons it looks more like a bouquet than a cupcake and I reakon he might be right.

Golden Rain my Laburnam tree

Good Morning sorry no card today but I thought youd like to see my Laburnam tree, its just come into bloom and it looks like golden rain, my dearest hubby scalped it a year ago and it looks a bit thin so I wouldnt let him near it last winter to trim so the result is lots of beautiful flowers. The tree next to it is my double white lilac tree. If you click on the photo it will bring it for you so you can see it better.
The sun has gone into day and its rather chilly, but I do hope it doesnt me we are in for cold weather again its been so lovely the last week and we are getting so used to it, it would be a shame if it went back to a harsh Spring. A lot of my plants were badly effected last winter, I lost my bay tree, and I wasnt the only one Ive spoken to several people and they also lost theirs, I suppose thats the problem really we are so used to winters that are reasonable good that the last two have really hit us badly.
Anyway take care, Id better go its a swimming day today and as I havent been for a couple of weeks due to my bowel infection Im hoping that I will be ok today.

A Card for the Allsorts Challenges

Good Morning Everyone, I do hope you are all having a wonderful Easter, make the most of today as its back to work tomorrow and then another long holiday coming up at the end of the week, what fun.
Todays card has been created for this weeks challenge at Allsorts "April Showers" and Ive used this sweet pair of girls, they look like sisters to me from Penny Black, Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic and tria pens to colour her, after wards I cut her out with my rotatrim as it was far to big to use a Nestabilitie die on it. The sentiment is one of the MPI sentiments that ive joined two of them together to make the saying.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card with the first mount of blue pearlescent card and one of three papers from the Nitwit Download "Puddle Jumping" digi download, the first paper an all over white background with raindrops on on different colours, then on top of this are two mounts of a smaller size with one with a check pattern on and the other a sentiment pattern, then on top I have mounted my image at a jaunty angle and my sentiment at the bottom on the right had side. To finish of Ive put a umbrella button at the top on the right hand side.

A Card for Many Challenges

Good Morning Everyone, I hope you are enjoying your Easter and you got lots of Easter Eggs, do you know I didnt get one, mind you hubby has just gone of to do his volunteering so he didnt get much time to buy me one, never mind Im sure I will be better of for not having one. Todays card has been created for "The Sugar Bowl Sketch Challenge" and as a thank you for a very dear friend who send me several goodies yesterday the stamp being one of them, she knows who she is and I want to thank her from the bottom on my heart, bless you love, Mum loves you. (A private Joke) Anyway Ive stamped this little Sassy girl onto white card and coloured her with my Tria pens, wow they are really lovely to use they have a very fine nib allows you to get right in those difficult places, but theres a tale behind my getting mine and be aware they are expensive.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used a pink pearlescent card and one of three papers from the "Forever Friends" paper pack, the first one is a pretty white background with butterflies on, the second mount is a stripe paper and the third a check. I then positioned my image as sketch requires, and my sentiment has been placed below in the right hand corner. Because the amount of space left wont allow me to pop three embellishments across the bottom but I have put two there and one at the top on the right hand side.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Challenge "Purple and Green"

Good Afternoon Everyone, well I know Im a bit late with this card it should have been posted yesterday on our facebook page but Ive eventually got it finished and have just done so. The challenge this week was for a "Purple and Green" card not an easy choice for a Christmas card but Ive done my best with this image from Whiff of Joy, Ive stamped and coloured her with my copic pens before cutting her out with my rotatrim, the sentiment is one of the LOV stamps and this was mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of green snowflake card and on top of this is a purple one, Ive used a snowflake corner punch on this. I then positioned my mounted image towards the left top and the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish I have used the punched out snowflakes and positioned them just outside the corners of the one Ive punched.

Something Different to the Usual

Good Afternoon All, Im so sorry Ive not been a very good blogger this week, but Ive been in quite a bit of pain from a bowel infection that its put me of crafting a bit, I have been good and have made several DT cards but only a couple of the usual ones for blogging so I thought for a change Id bring you some completely different.
These two parchment picture frames were made about 4 years ago so theyve been hanging on my craft room wall and I just thought for a change I would share them with you, now I know the mount on the bottom one isnt right but it was my first attempt that I managed to finish of completely after several doggy starts it was labour of love believe me, so to actually manage to create it in the first place was an achievement, after that I went on and made the top one which was a much better result altogether.
The two pictures are actually ones that I traced the flower outlines from one of Christine Colemans patterns and coloured them myself with prisma pencils and if you click on the picture you might get a better look at them, but its awhile since I have done any of that so I think perhaps sometime in the future I might just give it another go.
Hope you like the results, and I will try to get back to my normal blogging but please do bear with me.

A Card for two Challenges - Just Magnolia and Magnolia Stamp Lovers

Good Afternoon All, sorry Ive been so lapse but Ive been trying to get myself sorted and of course theres been my DT cards over on my Number One blog to get sorted and this poor blog has got forgotten. Anyway todays card has been created for the Just Magnolia's "Sketch by Bev" and the Magnolia Stamp Lovers "Easter" them, and Ive used this sweet image of Tilda and a baby lamb, please forgive it being not quite straight, I did put it down straight but I think the glue I used must have slipped on the blue mount and caused the topper to look squiffy. Anyway Ive coloured her with my copic pens then cut her out with a Rectangle Nestabilitie Die, then used a Scalloped one for the mount. The sentiment is yet another of the Magnolia stamps and this has been put onto a piece of white card and mounted with a small piece of the same blue pearlescent card I used for my image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of yellow pearlescent card and one of three papers from the "Spring Time" Forever Friends paper pack from Hallmark, the first paper is a yellow check pattern thats been cut in halve and positioned across the two halves of the bottom mount, on top of this is a large oval of yellow card with the second paper which is a pretty white base with daffodils and chicks on, then down the left hand side is the third mount and this is a blue strip thats been mounted on a piece of blue card.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom underneath it. To finish of Ive created three flowers with some of the left over papers and stuck them on the card at the top on the right with some silicone glue on top of some punched out leaves.

My Weekend

Im so sorry Ive not posted anything on here for a week but weve been away to London for a few days not only to visit Ally Pally and guess who left with a bag of Bootie as hubby calls it.
And we also went to visit our granddaughter Danu and her mum Sherrie, my hubby's youngest daughter

And guess who was playing tea parties with mum and granddad, she is such a cutie and so grown up for a little mite who wont be three till August.
We had a fabulous weekend away the only thing was I suffered rather badly with stomach cramps so that wasnt much fun believe me, but I more than made up for it in meeting some really lovely people and buying lots of lovely goodies. Hopefully I will try and get a card posted soon and I hope you will forgive me if its not for a couple of days Im just trying to catch up with everything at the moment and finding places to put my things away in.

A Challenge Card for Allsorts "Blooming Blossoms"

This morning I decided I wanted to have a go and stamping and colouring a rose using my Clarity rose stamp, but when I came to look for a red inkpad I couldnt find one so having to order one for another time I decided I would have a go at this rose above which I had found on the Heartfelt Creations blog, and as Id bought several of their stamp sets from Oyster Stamps on Friday when we went to a Craft Fair in Bristol I decided to give it a try and this is the result, hope you like it.
The rose itself was created from using three different sizes of roses they are stamped onto three different colours of paper, the first was a pale pink the second a yellow and the third a dark pink you emboss them with white embossing powder after which you cut them out by hand. You then cut down the petals of the roses and shape them with a Deet Tool which is one I use for my Floral Punch Craft, I then mounted up the layers and stuck them together with a bit of silicone glue.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of dark green card, I then searched around amoung my folders on my computer to find the right paper for the background and this is a freebie from Raspberry Road, I then stamped the leaves on it with green inkpad and bleed out the ink into the leaves. The sentiment is the one that came with my Clarity Rose stamp and thought it was appropriate for this rose as well. I then mounted my rose over the leaves in a place I thought was right.

"Sundays with Santa"

Happy Mothers Day to all you girls that have family, hope they are spoiling you rotten, I had two beautiful cards from two of my daughters not sure whats happened to my eldest but she has such a busy life its possible she might have forgotten, never mind it happens.
Todays card is for this weeks Santa's for Sunday and this week its a "Vintage" theme, so Ive cheated and used one of Joanna Sheens images and her papers to, as I dont actually have any Vintage Christmas stamps so Im hoping to get away with it. Ive made a 7"x 6" white card with several layers of gold mirri board and three papers from the same set of image and papers. Ive also used a piece of red ribbona across the bottom left hand corner, and to finish of Ive used three Poinsetta flowers and punched out leaves these were attached with silicone glue to the top left hand corner.
I hope you girls have a wonderful day and get to see your family.
