A Card for Sundays with Santa on Facebook

Good Morning Crafters, I hope the weather is improving with you at the moment its still spitting here in Gloucestershire, but Im keeping my fingers crossed that the promised dry weather might be on its way over the weekend, but we shall see. Todays card has been created for this weeks "White on White" Challenge, and Ive used lots of white pearlecent card for my card.
I cut the first layer and passed it through my cuttlebug with a Christmas tree embossing folder, then on top I have put two die cut tree shapes from Memory Box and a further larger one from Spellbinders in the middle of the two others, then along the bottom I have used a Fir Tree border.
The sentiment is one of the LOV stamps thats been stamped and cut with a circle die, then mounted onto a large Snowflake die from Memory Box.

A Card for LOV Challenge - "Sketch"

Good morning Everyone, well its stopped raining even though I dont suppose its going to last its just nice to be able to go outside without getting soaked. Back todays card I created this for the Lili's little Fairies "Sketch" Challenge, and Ive used one of the new stamps for my card, though I do see that I have cut it out on the squiff, daft really but my excuse is I do have new glasses, I hope it doesnt upset your feeling towards it. Ive stamped it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, and the oval Nestabilitie die to cut it out, afterwards I used the lacey edge die for my mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, and then Ive used two of the new beautiful "Rose's Dream" digi papers from Bearlymine, they really are so pretty, I do hope you will go and visit Donna's website to see for yourself. The first paper is a pink background with hellibore roses on, and the second paper is a blue background that has the same flowers on in different colours.
I then wrapped three ribbon stripes around the card in pink and blue and attached them to the back of the first mount, the mounted image was then positioned in the middle and the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used some left over paper to create two rolled roses in the top left hand corner thats been stuck on top of some punched out leaves.

A Card for the LOV "Diamond and Pearls" Challenge

Good Morning Everyone, sorry Ive been so lapse in posting lately but as you can gather Ive been busy with the dog and my DT work so that I can be all ready for our trip to Cornwall at the end of May, these Challenges come around so quickly and you need to be ready in advance, anyway I think Ive got a bit of spare time at the moment. I dont know about you but Im not enjoying using the new Blogger page we use for writing up our posts, I carnt use it at all in Internet Explorer which is the browser I usually use and at the moment Ive having to use Firefox, but all my links arnt in this one, and of course the Google Chrome is even worse as you dont get the favourite bar down the side so its useless.
Anyway back to todays card, Ive used this sweet image for my card ( I didnt realise it was a bit crooked, sorry about that), Ive coloured her with my copics then cut her out with a square Nestabilitie Die, and the mount is one the Lacey Square die, the sentiment is one I found on the internet and felt it went quite well with the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, the papers Ive used are from Maya and its a beautiful white background with flower sprays on it, on top I have used a stripe of dark blue with white hearts on and used a Martha Stewart border punch on both side and have stuck it down the middle of the base layer. Then around the middle is a piece of web ribbon and attached to the back of the first mount.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment below, Ive finished of with two flower punched out with one of my flower punches and mounted on top of a swirl with diamonds in the centres, then down two opposite sides I have place diamond stripes. I also used some small pearls on the images necklace.

I used my Martha Steward border punch down all the edges then layered them up and stuck them to a 6"x 6" white card on top of a piece of blue card.

"Sundays with Santa" - Traditional Colours

Good Morning Everyone, Im so sorry for not posting for awhile but it was an extremely busy week last week, I had a blood pressure test on Wednesday and a Mamogram on Friday, plus all my DT work I never seem to have enough time just to create a card to post, instead I had a load to do for future Challenges instead so you will have to be a little patient. This card Im posting today was created for yesterdays Sundays with Santa Challenge "Tradition Colours" and Ive used this sweet image and coloured it with my copic pens then used the Nestabilitie Label die No.17 to cut it out then drew around the die to create the mount, the sentiment was one I had as a freebie in one of my craft magazine.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and then Ive used one of the Maja "Vintage Winter" paper a lovely blue background with a Santa in the corner. I then used some white pearlescent card and three of the Memory Box dies to create a corner a border and a Xmas tree which have been placed in several places. The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the setniment at the bottom on the right.

The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, I have used two papers from Prima Sweet Fairy paper pack, and on top of the first one Ive used a piece of white pearlescent and then used a Martha Stewart cupcake punch around the edges, then put the second piece across my card with another piece of the pink card thats been put through the cuttlebug with a cupcake embossing folder.
The mounted image was positioned in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I then created a loom flower with a die-manic die, and then stuck it to the card with two silver leaves which were cut out with a Marieanne die. A Card for the LOV Challenge "A Card for Someone Special"

Im not sure if the cards not straight or Ive not put the topper on straight, anyway hope you still like the end result, it might just be my camera angle, lets hope its that. Anyway todays card has been created for the Lili of the Valleys "A Card for Someone Special" and Ive still got a few to make for family members so I think this card will fall into that catagory, Ive used this sweet little people singing with the dog howling, and coloured it with my copic and tria pens, then cut it out with my rotatrim, the mount has been cut out with the Fleur de Lis Rectangle from Spellbinders, Ive then mounted them up, the Sentiment is one that I got free from Polka Doodles and felt it was a lovely one to go with the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and one of the Memory Box "Mistletoe" paper set, a very pretty white/cream background with holly leaves and berries on, Ive only used the one paper and on top I have laid two stripes of die cut that I created with the Cherry Lynn Holly Lace die, and then mounted  my image to the right and the sentiment at the bottom on the left. To finish of Ive stuck some pearls in random places to look like holly berries.

Card for Lili of the Valley Challenge - "Missing You"

Good Morning Everyone, well I hope that you are all looking forward to the weekend, today is my 11th Wedding Anniversary and of course the 9/11 anniversary as well so Im sure a lot of you are not particularly having a happy one so I send you my love and thoughts. Well the day started reasonably well until our pup managed to find the card hubby had put on my bed and guess what she did a good job of ripping it up so it looks a bit battered to say the least, but never mind you could say shes adding her signature like a child would when asked to add theirs.
Todays card has been created for this weeks Lili of the Valleys "Missing You" Challenge, and Ive used this sweet image and coloured it with my copic and tria pens then used the large Rectangle Nestabilitie Die to cut it out, I then cut a mount for it with the scalloped edged one and the sentiment has been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card with one of three papers from the "Echo Park" Country Drive papers, the first one is blue design with yellow flowers on, and the second and third have been cut in strips and Ive used two different Martha Stewart border punches on them, Ive even used it on the blue card strip as well. I then wrapped a piece of white satin ribbon and then on top a sparkly blue ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then used the heart Cherry Lynn doily and cut it out of blue card then popped it just behind the ribbons, on top of this I then mounted my image with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive created two flowers from some of the left over papers, these were stuck to the card in the top left hand corner with some silicone glue on top of punched out leaves.

A Card for this weeks Sundays with Santa - "A Christmas Birthday Card"

Good Morning All, well I must be breaking a rule this week two cards in one week, anyway this weeks challenge over on Facebook was set by me and Im wondering why I picked such a difficult one, I do have a number of Birthdays around Christmas and thought it would be easy to combine the two but it just goes to show it isnt. I came up with this one which is one of the LOV images and coloured it with my copic and tria pens, then used the Nestabilitie Die Labels 1 to cut it out, Ive then drawn around the die to create the mount out of pink card. The sentiment was created on my computer and printed also onto white card then mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and one of three papers from the Nitwit Downloads, the first paper is one from one of the Xmas sets as is the second one which I have used the cherish border punch from Martha Stewart on, the third paper is from the Birthday digi set and has been stuck across the middle.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used yet another paper from the Xmas set to create a flower which is with the new EK success border flower creator punch and it has been rolled up and with some stamens cut and stuck in the middle, I have stuck it to the card in the top left hand corner on some punched out leaves.

"Sundays with Santa"

Good Morning All, hope you are enjoying yet another bank holiday weekend, the sun isnt to bright today its rather cloudy but Im keeping my fingers crossed it cheers up later on. Anyway todays card has been created for the Sundays with Santa Challenge over on Facebook that Pops started up just after Xmas if youd like to take part you are more than welcome and start to get your stock of cards up ready for the end of the year, if you do here is the link, its a good way of at least getting together at least a sizeable pile. This weeks challenge is theme "Anything Goes" and so its an easy one. Ive used this sweet LOV image for my card and stamped her onto white card before colouring her with my Copic and Tria pens, I then cut her out with the Nestabilitie die No.9 and then drawing around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is yet one more of the LOV stamps and this has been given the same treatment.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and one of three papers from Donna's Bearlymine Xmas papers released last Christmas, the first one is a pretty red background with a lace edge and a picture of Santa Claus in the bottom left hand corner, then across the middle I have used a red and white spotted paper thats been punched along both edges with a snowflake punch, on top of this is the third paper a pink and white sentiment one.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle over a Cherry Lyn die cut doily with the sentiment below on the left hand side, to finish of I created a flower spray with three poinsetta's in the top left hand corner and stuck them to my card with silicone glue and some punched out holly leaves.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Challenge "Purple and Green"

Good Afternoon Everyone, well I know Im a bit late with this card it should have been posted yesterday on our facebook page but Ive eventually got it finished and have just done so. The challenge this week was for a "Purple and Green" card not an easy choice for a Christmas card but Ive done my best with this image from Whiff of Joy, Ive stamped and coloured her with my copic pens before cutting her out with my rotatrim, the sentiment is one of the LOV stamps and this was mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is 6"x 6" white card with a first layer of green snowflake card and on top of this is a purple one, Ive used a snowflake corner punch on this. I then positioned my mounted image towards the left top and the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish I have used the punched out snowflakes and positioned them just outside the corners of the one Ive punched.

A Card for two Challenges

Good Afternoon All, so sorry this poor blog has been rather ignored since the weekend Ive had lots of Challenges to sort out, so I thought it was time to post a card, and have created this one for the Lili of the Valley Challenge "Say it with Flowers" and Creative Craft's "Lace" Challenge. Ive used this sweet fairy with her dandelion bits and wild roses for my image and coloured her with my copic pens, the Nestabilitie Ive used on this is one the special Edition ones from C&C, Ive then used the same die to create the mount by drawing around it onto mauve card then cutting it with my scissors. I did use some mauve inkpad around the edge then a swirl stamp just to give it a bit more mistyness. The sentiment is yet another of the LOV images and this has been treated in the same way as the mounted image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card then for my first mount Ive used a piece of mauve pearlescent card with one of three papers from the Kay Miller's "Wings" downloads digi sets, the first is a plaid design, and then two strips of mauve and green that have had the edges punched with a butterfly punch, I should have said that these two papers have butterflies on. On top of this is a strip of mauve card and this has been put through my cuttlebug and a embossing folder.
Around the middle I have wrapped a piece of lace and then a strip of mauve satin ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and for a change the sentiment is on the left hand side at the bottom. To finish of Ive used one large curly rose in white and mauve in the top left hand corner mounted on some silicone glue and punched out leaves.

Sundays with Santa - "Christmas Tree"

Good Morning Ladies, well its Sunday again and its time for "Santa on Sunday" and as we missed last week (we didnt have a theme) so this week is a card containing  a "Christmas Tree" and Ive used this lovely set of Art Impressions stamps to create my card. I used the tree and my Marvy Le Plume pens on it by using the nib to ink the edges, then I stamped it onto water colouring paper then used my damp brush to pull out the colour. Ive done the same with the birds, lambs and the basket of tree ornaments.
I then drew a line to create the lights, and then with some masking fluid I masked of where I wanted the snow to fall. I have also used some stickles on the lights and baubles just to give it extra sparkle. I then rubbed of the masking fluid to make it look like the snow had fallen on the lambs.
The actual base card is a 7"x 6" white card with a first layer of dark blue card, and Ive used a piece of blue pearlescent card on top, but because the image is large Ive just layered this onto dark blue card and positioned the image in the middle. The sentiment is one of the LOV christmas seals and this was stamped onto white card then Ive used the circle Nestabilitie die to cut it out and a larger on and blue card for the mount.
It youd like to pop across and maybe take part just click on the Santa for Sunday name and it will take you there, its Pops idea to start a collection early for next Christmas, there are quite a few girls taking part and if youd also like to become one or group do please come to visit as its a bit of fun and its useful to start collecting early so you can at least have quite a number by December.
