A Card for the Just Magnolia's "Christmas is coming"

Good Afternoon Everyone, hope you managed to enjoy your extra hour this morning, we were just worrying in case the pup Missy asked us to get up at the usual time (6.00am todays time) but no she slept till almost 7am so that was good, in fact when hubby couldnt wait and longer she was still asleep in her bed. Well todays card has been created for this weeks Just Magnolia's "Christmas is Coming" Challenge, and I have used this sweet image of Tilda and I have coloured her with my copic pens, then cut it out with my rotatrim, I then cut a mount out of blue card and mounted it onto it. The sentiment is one from a freebie set of stamps I received with one of my craft magazines this week, this was also mounted on the same blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and one of three papers from First Editions "Christmas Joy" digi papers, the first paper is a cream background with a parcel pattern on it, the second one is a red paper with candycanes on which I have used down one side is a parcel border punch from Martha Stewart, the third paper is a stripped one and this one has been mounted on some more blue card.
Around the middle I have wrapped a piece of white lace and a blue ribbon has been positioned along the top edge and then stuck it to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was then positioned on the right hand side and the sentiment at the bottom on the left hand side.
To finish of I have used three helibores that I have used some blue ink on the edges on top of some punched out leaves and stuck to the card in the top left hand corner with some silicone glue.

Third Sample for Sarah - "Easel Box Drawer Card"

Good Afternoon, well heres my third sample for Sarah, this one has been created around Orca and Ive created a box drawer bottom and a easel card thats been stuck on top.
I think you can see more or less how Ive created it, the box drawer at the bottom I made by creating my own template then cutting it out in card, the drawer is a little stiff but it does go in and Ive used a tassel for the drawer pull.
The easel card was made separately and then stuck to the to of the drawer box. Hope you like it.

Second Sample for Sarah - "Walrus Tunnel Tent Card"

Good Morning Everyone, this is my second sample for Sarah, and I have used the Walrus as my image of choice, it comes all ready designed on four sheets to print, I used semi-gloss paper for my card and then stuck it onto card to stiffen it up and allow me to score and fold the folded sides which you have to stick each of the four pieces to create the tunnel effect. Once this was done I then created a 7"x 7" white card with inserts and stuck the tunnel card on top. Unfortunately its not so easy to see in this photo I did make it into a tent card to stand a bit better.

A New Cd for Sarah Hallam of Peerless Designs "Cuddle Upz 3"

Good Afternoon All, sorry Ive not been by for a few days I am really busy time at the moment, hubby is away working during the day helping at a local Steam Railway as a volunteer so I have all the responsibility of Missy, and believe me at times she really does need to be watched, as shes nearly 7 months old you can well image what she gets up to.
Anyway Ive started to make some samples for my very dear friend Sarah Hallam of Peerless Designs she has a brand new CD being released on the Monday 7th November and it will be reviewed on Create and Craft at 10am, I do hope you will join me and see how beautiful these new images are, the new CD is the third in the Cuddle Upz range and its called "Artic Adventure"
which you can image it has Wolves, Polar Bears, Orca's, Penquins, Walrus's, Tern's, Artic Foxes, Snowy Owls and Harper Seals, not only does it cover all these beautiful animals, but has lots of co-ordinating papers, notepapers, bookmarks, envelopes, toppers, inserts, ready prepared instant cards, decoupage etc, and I decided to use one of the decoupage instant cards, insert for my first sample.
As you can see these two are just gorgeous, all I did was print the main card onto white card and the decoupage on to photo semi-gloss paper then cut it out and decoupaged it onto the main card. I also printed an insert and attached it to the inside. And to finish of I used one of the toppers to add to the back cover just to make it look a little more professional. I will add more samples over the next few days I do hope you like what you see.

A Card for Satuarated Canary and Sugar Bowl Challenges

Good Afternoon Everyone, hope you are all enjoying your weekend you might like to know that Missy went out for her first small walk today so will see how she is later on this evening to see it her limp is improving, shes ok in herself but still impossible to get her to eat with our hand feeding her, any ideas to curb this would be gratefully received? She wont eat at all if we dont do it, though if its fresh cooked meat from our meals she will. Anyway getting back to my card, todays card has been created for two Challenges the Saturated Canary's "Stitching" and the Sugar Bowls "Sketch" Challenges, and I have used this Sassy Girl for my card, Ive stamped her onto white card and then used my copic and tria pens to collour her, then used my large Rectangle Nestabilitie Die to cut her out, Ive used a larger one for the mount out of pink pearlescent card, the sentiment is one of the CC stamps and this has been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of the same pink card and one paper from the Kay Miller "Wings of Spring" download and this has then with the mount been stitched on my sewing machine to create the edging. I then mounted her as the sketch says and the sentiment down the side, I used my Die-namics swirl dies to create them out of mauve card and then stuck then down in the left hand corner, I also popped some pearls on some of the swirl ends.

A Card for a Friend

Good Morning Everyone, sorry Ive not been around much over the last couple of weeks but you know what they say "must needs and the devil drives" Im been busy with all my DT work trying to get ahead and also arranging something special for December, and of course weve had the problems with Missy so my priorites have been those first, so sorry and I will try and remedy it I promise.
Anyway todays card has been created for a neighbour and as hes always taking the mike out of me I felt that this Bugaboo image was just right for him with that sentiment should bring a smile to his face, or at least I hope so. Ive printed the image onto white card and then coloured it with my copic pens then used the large Rectangle Die from Nestabilitie I also use the larger one for the mount, the sentiment has been treated in the same way the mounts have been created with blue pearlescent card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and for my first paper its one of three from the Papermania Men paper pad, its an all over sentiment pattern on a blue background. The second paper used is red and white stripe and the third a dark blue pattern, these two were placed in an angle pattern, and the mounted image was then positioned towards the right hand side, and the sentiment was placed on the left.

A Further update on Missy

Im sorry its been a few days since I last wrote on how Missy is progressing, although today shes fine and doing well, we had a terrible scare on Friday evening while sitting watching the TV, normally I get on to do some cross stitching (Im trying to make a sampler for a dear friend of mine) and because Missy was insisting she sat on my lap I put the sewing away and gave in to her.
As Id already said she wasnt to well on the way back from the Vets but did perk up and had a bite to eat about 6.15pm just before we took her into the front room, shed already had a couple of sleeps when she came back and seemed a lot better, anyway getting back to my story of Friday evening, I let her come up to settle to what I thought she would do that is lie down on my lap but she didnt she decided to lay in my arms upside down on her back, I was gently stroking her tummy and she went of to sleep.
Now comes the biggest shock of all, she went so deeply into sleep she became limp and floppy I could see this wasnt any normal kind of sleep as normally when I move she will yerk awake and she didnt she was almost gone I pulled her up our of my arms and gradually kept talking to her and trying to wake her up, she did eventually but it was a very close thing, I think if Id left her any longer she would have died as she was comatosed. It was the most scarey thing Ive ever had to deal with, and of course we wouldnt go to bed until we were sure she was ok. Luckily after a couple of hours she seemed to be fine and she went out for her last wee and was then put in her cage and slept till 6am yesterday morning.
We are still watching that she doesnt overdo the exercise and are trying to rest her as much as possible I just hope that at the end of 6 weeks she will well over her limp as its not only been an expensive time its also been a very frightening time for us both. And of course weve got to go through it all again when she goes to be spayed after shes had her first season, which hopefully should be next year and she should be a bit older to.

Update on Missy

 We arnt feeling very well.
I promised yesterday to let you know how Missy got on today with her Xray, the results in one way are good and in another still a bit worrying, at the moment the news is brilliant she hasnt anything wrong with her bones he couldnt find a problem there, but hes still not sure whats causing the limp in her front right leg, other than he noticed that it splays out more than the left, but he did say its possible its to do with her growing, or it could be soft tissue damage, or even a ligament or cartlidge, so we have to carry on not allowing her any extended exercise and it could take upto 6 weeks for it to show any improvement.
Its possible that the injury happened while she was staying with the breeder when we were away in Guernsey but of course we didnt see it happen and are unable to say what caused it, the limp only started after we picked her up from there.
If things done settle down by the time she is 9 months old we will have to start again trying to discover exactly what is causing her to limp, I just hope by then it will have completely dissappeared and she is her old self again. Of course at this very moment she is in her bed sleeping as the trauma of being put under has left her feeling very sick (which she was in the car coming home) and very tired, her tummy is very upset and I just want her to rest and hopefully if shes feeling a bit better later on we will be able to feed her something.

Can I ask you to keep my little fur baby in your prayers tomorrow

Good Afternoon Everyone, I dont know if you remember my telling you that after we picked up Missy from the breeder on the 21st September after we got back from our five days in Guernsey, that we noticed she was limping on her front right leg, well we took her to the vets to get her checked and she couldnt find anything wrong at the time and she told us to rest her as much as we could and not to take her out on long walks, and we've been doing that till Monday this week, when hubby took her for small ride up to our nearest park (to get her used to travelling in the car as she gets sick) and then walked her around the field.
Anyway Monday evening she was sitting and sleeping with us in the front room while we were watching the TV, but afterwards when she got up to walk around I noticed that she was limping again, anyway hubby took her again on Tuesday for a ride and a walk and again she woke up very stiff (in the evening) and this time her limp was even worse so I decided enough was enough and yesterday morning we took her back to the vets, but she still couldn't find anything wrong and Missy doesn't squeak when you are examining her so she suggested that we have it Xrayed, and tomorrow morning she is of to have it done, I do so sincerely hope that its nothing nasty and that as shes said it might just be her growing, as shes still so young and the cartilage might be causing the problem, but until we get the results from the Xrays we wont know for sure that its nothing nasty. So please could you keep her in your prayers tomorrow for me I would be very grateful.

Card for the Saturated Canary Challenge

Good Morning All, I know that most of you have heard of the Saturated Canary Digi Images dont you thing they are gorgeous, anyway it seems she is the Sassy Girls from Sugar Nellie artist and now she has started her own Challenge Blogspot and I felt I would give it a go. I have used this sweet image for my first card she is called "Craftyragamuffin" and I have printed her onto white card and then coloured her with my copic pens, and then because its a sketch Challenge I have cut it out with my rotatrim and cut a mount for it out of pearlescent card. The sentiment is one from Whimsey Stamps and has been cut with one of the ticket dies.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white cad and has a first mount of pink card and I have used one of Kay Millers digi papers a very pretty flowered background, on top of this I have wrapped a seam binding ribbon around the bottom. The mounted image was then positioned as the sketch requires and the sentiment is tucked under the bow at the bottom. To finish of I have used three pink and white roses at the top of the left hand corner.

A Card for Just Magnolia Challenge

Good Morning All, well I was in a ponder yesterday what image to use for this weeks "Sundays with Santa" and this week its "Food" Challenge so I thought after visiting Just Magnolia's "Coffee and Cream" Challenge that I would just try and combine the two and this is what I came up with, I have stamped this little fellow onto white card then used my copics to colour him, afterwards I just a circle Nestabilitie Die to cut him out then used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been mounted in the same way as the image onto cream card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of cream card and for this card I have used some papers from Donna of Bearlymine's "Vintage" digi downloads, the first paper is a coffee colour background with a sentiment all over, then the second is a cream one and for the last one is another coffee one with roses, I should say this is the sketch for this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge and I felt it was just lovely for this challenge. I then positioned my mounted image in the middle and the sentiment at the bottom on the right.
To finish of I have taken three white Hellibores and with some coffee and cream catseye inkpads Ive distressed the edges, then stuck them to my card with silicone glue on top of some punched out holly leaves.

"Sundays with Santa"

Good Morning Everyone, strictly speaking there wasnt a theme for this week and as Id already printed this little beauty out I thought I would use it to create a Christmas card and put it away for then. Ive used Mo's gorgeous little Lhasa Apso for my card Ive coloured her/him with my copic pens then sued Nestabilitie Die Labels No.16 to cut it out then used the die again to create the mount, the sentiment is one from my stash thats been mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and Ive used three papers from the First Editions "Festive Treats" paper pad, the first paper is a patchwork of squares and on top is a red star paper and for my third is a sentiment one. I then wrapped two ribbons around the centre and attached to the first mount.
The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side. To finish of I have used three poinsettas in a spray and stuck them to my card in the top left hand corner on to some punched out holly leaves, and to glitter them up Ive used stickles on the petals.
