Sarahs brand new Cd "Woodland Fantasy" - Sample One

Good Afternoon Everyone, well Sarah Hallam of Peerless Designs has a brand new Cd being previewed on the 15th September on Create and Craft at 11am, and she has asked me again if I would create some samples for her, and I would love to show you the first one, firstly here is the Cover of her new Cd.

Isnt this little Imp beautiful, and this is the image that Ive used for my first sample.

As you can image it wasnt the easiest card to photo as Ive printed the topper on Semi Gloss paper and each time I tried to take a photo the flash was showing and it didnt look very nice. Anyway with a little help from hubby and my Otlight we got there in the end. This image is called "Dragon" and Sarah has some really beautiful Design Sets on this Cd, ten altogether with backing papers, inserts, bookmarks, toppers, decoupage, pre created cards all ready to print and fold, and even several sized envelopes as well. They all cordinate with the images.
Ive used two of the backing papers and mounted them all onto gold mirri board, even the inside has been done in the same way as the front, with a verse on the right side and yet a smaller topper on the left. The sentiment was created on one of the toppers in My Craft Studio and then printed onto semi gloss paper in the same way as the image.
I do hope that you love this image as much as I do and will be showing you more samples in the next few days.

My little Helper - "Sleeping on the Job"

This is my little helper, she sleeps on a pillow on the futon settee by the side of my desk, but she always manages to get it in some funny angles what is it they say "Position is everything". Shes also got herself the perfect launch pad to get up to look out of the bedroom window which is behind my monitor. What a little madam she will be 5 months old on the 5th and is still a right pain for feeding, very fussy.

A Card for this weeks Sundays with Santa - "A Christmas Birthday Card"

Good Morning All, well I must be breaking a rule this week two cards in one week, anyway this weeks challenge over on Facebook was set by me and Im wondering why I picked such a difficult one, I do have a number of Birthdays around Christmas and thought it would be easy to combine the two but it just goes to show it isnt. I came up with this one which is one of the LOV images and coloured it with my copic and tria pens, then used the Nestabilitie Die Labels 1 to cut it out, Ive then drawn around the die to create the mount out of pink card. The sentiment was created on my computer and printed also onto white card then mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and one of three papers from the Nitwit Downloads, the first paper is one from one of the Xmas sets as is the second one which I have used the cherish border punch from Martha Stewart on, the third paper is from the Birthday digi set and has been stuck across the middle.
I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. To finish of Ive used yet another paper from the Xmas set to create a flower which is with the new EK success border flower creator punch and it has been rolled up and with some stamens cut and stuck in the middle, I have stuck it to the card in the top left hand corner on some punched out leaves.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl Challenges - "A Sketch"

Good Afternoon All, well I know its been a few days since I posted a card but again its been a busy one, and I thought for a change I would take part in this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge "A Sketch" and Ive used this sweet "Sassy Girl" for my image and have coloured her with my Copic and Tria pens, then used the circle Nestabilitie Die to cut it out then drew around the edge of the die to create the mount for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with the first mount is a piece of blue pearlescent card andone of three papers from "Echo Parks Country Drive" paper pad the first a blue background with yellow daisies in a triangle pattern on top is another blue and white pattern paper which has been mounted and then stuck down the middle. I then wrapped three pieces of seam binding across the middle and then on top is the third paper another triangle patterned paper in blue and white.
I mounted my image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. I popped some pearls on the ribbon on either side and to finish of I created a flower with some of the left over paper and this was stuck at the top on the left hand side of the mounted image.

Sundays with Santa - "Non Traditional"

Daft Bat, just posted this without any blurb, anyway Good Morning All, and todays card for Sundays with Santa is "Non Traditional" and as I have this image already to colour I thought Id used it for this weeks challenge, arent they gorgeous they are of course are by Mo Manning, and Ive coloured them with my Copic and Tria pens, then used my rotatrim to cut them out, I then mounted them onto a large piece of dark pink card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of the same pink card and one of the papers from the Traditional Paper set from Papermania, a bit ironic as its not a traditional colour really, but I thought it was ideal for this card. Ive then wrapped a piece of mauve sparkly ribbon around the middle and stuck my mounted image in the middle. To finish of Ive stuck a snowman button in the bottom right hand corner and a snowflake in the top left.

A Card for a Special Uncle

Good Morning Everyone, Im so sorry Ive not been around for a few days but have been rather busy, and yesterday I had a fabulous day with my middle daughter Sarah and her four children, it was so nice to see her in fact we hadnt seen them for over a year so we had lots of things to catch up on. Shes a very busy person and doesnt get a lot of time to spare so it was so nice of her to take a day to spend it with us.
Anyway todays card has been created for my husbands Uncle, hes in fact my dear father in laws brother and now that hes gone, Uncle Alec is very special and reminds me so much of dear FIL, and hes just gone into a home and I felt it would be nice to let him know just how much we are thinking of him.
Uncle Alec loves yachts and has in fact made several in the past (not the full size ones) and has sailed them on a local pond in Edinburgh and I gather has won several cups for it, no motors are used by the way its just plain sailing.
The images are Stampin Up stamps and I thought they would be just ideal for him, Ive stamped it onto white card then coloured the image with my copic pens, afterwards I cut it out with my rotatrim and  mounted it onto a piece of blue pearlescent card. The sentiment is also part of the same stamp set and have done the same with that.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card with just one paper from the Kay Miller Downloads "Do you see what I sea" and this is a wavy pattern on a white background. I then stuck my image towards the left handside with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. The last think is the anchor charm thats been stuck on the left hand.

Good Morning Everyone, well guess what Ive actually got a card made for this weeks Sundays with Santa challenge over on Facebook, mind you I am two cards behind the challenge list but I do hope to catch up at sometime. Well its a weird day here in Gloucestershire the sun has gone in and it looks rather cloudy hope it doesnt rain it does make potty training the pup more of challenge as shes not to keen or me to go out in it.
Todays card is one of The Paper Shelter images and Ive printed it onto white card then coloured it with my copic pens, then used my rotatrim to cut it out, I then also used a piece of the blue pearlescent for the mount, the sentiment is one of the Pink Gem stamps and its been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, then on top I have used one of the papers from the Dovecraft "Winter Wonderland" paper pack this first one is a blue background with snowflakes on it, on top is a strip of the same blue card thats been put through my cuttlebug with a snowflake embossing folder, and the third mount is another paper from the same paper set a sentiment one this time. Then I have wrapped a silver and white ribbon down the card and attached it to the back before mounted my image in the centre and the sentiment at the bottom on the right.

Sundays with Santa - "Receipe"

Good Morning All, well I have managed to get another card created for posting, but I havent been lazy I had two special cards to create and I did manage to get them made yesterday and finished of this morning. Hubby has gone to London to visit his granddaughter who was 3rd yesterday and I have a grandson to ring later as its hes 11th birthday today and I must try and sing him Happy Birthday. I know you must thing they are cluttons for punishment but all my grandchildren seem to enjoy my ringing them on their birthdays and singing that to them, I suspect things will change as they get older but you never know. They all seem to enjoy my homemade cards so at least thats a relief.
Anyway todays card has been created for Sunday's with Santa Challenge on Facebook, Im a couple of weeks behind with my challenge cards but I thought Id better make a start on catching up with them. Ive used this gorgeous from Penny Black and Ive coloured her with my copic pens then layered it up on some red card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card with one of Donna of Bearlymine Designs Xmas papers, a pretty red background with a lace edge and a very pretty corner, on top of this I have wrapped a wide wired ribbon around the middle and then on top I positioned my mounted image in the centre. I then stuck a triple snowflake in the top of the left hand corner and on the right are three snowmen buttons down the top right hand side.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge - "A Sketch"

Good Afternoon All, well Ive eventually got around to creating a card for this blog though Im not totally happy with the results, mainly because I probably have used the wrong dps with it, but its done now and theres not a lot I can do about it. Ive used this Sassy Girl for my card and coloured her with my copics and tria pens before cutting out with my rotatrim and mounting it onto a piece of pink pearlescent card, the sentiment is one of the CC ones thats been mounted in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with my first mount of pink card then on top is a paper from the Kate Knight Freebie pack that I got with one of my craft magazines, its a dark pink background with flowers on, the second is a greenie blue background with more of the same sort of flowers on, this I have put through my cuttlebug with one of the Cherry Lynn Doily dies, then on top is the third paper a dark blue one with yet more flowers on.
The across the middle is a strip of lace which has been attached to the back of the first mount and then a strip of seam binding with a bow on the right handside. I then positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side.

Missy at 4 months old

I thought youd like to see how quickly our little madam is growing up, shes almost 4 months old and has more than doubled in size and weight, shes a stocky little dog, and at the moment her ears are struggling to become erect, I do hope they do go up and each day we look at the progress with ever more hope that they will eventually get there, though I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt as her mum didnt have erect ears but her dad did and its a luck of the draw.
Anyway Im trying to catch up with my future DT work so that I have lots of cards ready to blog before we go away in September, you know how quickly the weeks go by so you can understand why Im anxious to get well ahead of myself.
