A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Morning All, well again the weather is awful its almost like October and still threatening rain, anyway I thought a cup of coffee might be in order and I have used the new Funky Kits stamp for my card isnt she cute, Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut her out and mounted her onto a piece of dark mauve card. The sentiment is one of the CC stamps and has also been mounted onto another piece of the same colour card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of mauve card and the papers I have used are from Kay Millers "Enchanted" digi paper set, they are all shades of pink and mauve so I thought they would be ideal for this card. The way I have created it is with a sketch from Sugar Nellie, and for the Sugary Sunday Challenge this week its all about our favourite things, and I have used mauve and pink as my most fav. colour choices.

A Card for Aisne

Good Morning Everyone, I suspect you are all getting ready to celebrate bringing in the New Year, we will probably watch TV and then listen to the town setting of fireworks, it goes on for quite a bit in this neck of the woods, anyway I want to wish you all a Very Happy New Year tomorrow in case I dont get to post another card till well into next week, I have several DT cards to schedule today so might not be able to make any more till then.
Anyway I was approached yesterday by a lovely lady Aisne Smith of "Card Making Downloads" and she asked if I would see how I got on with her digi stamps, she has a very successful company that sells papers and coloured images but shes anxious to make a break into digi stamps, and as we all know thats quite a competitive market, but I like her designs so I want to wish her good luck and I hope you do to and we shall have to keep a keen eye on them in the future.
I have used this gorgeous "Kitten Girl" not sure of her actual name as she is only in her provisional stage and not actually available yet, but I think its probably what shes supposed to be with those ears, feet and hands. Ive printed her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used the oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out and the Beaded Oval for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of lilac pearlescent card with one of three papers from the "Kay Miller" Digi Downloads, a very pretty pink, lilac in various shades, on top is a striped paper, and for my third is a very pretty patterned paper in similar colours but with hearts, dots and flowers on.
I then positioned my image towards the left, and with two other papers from the same digi set, I have used one of the Die-namics rolled flower dies to create three flowers, and stuck them to the card with silicone glue on top of some punched out fern leaves.
I do hope that you will make a visit to Aisne's shop and see for yourself what beautiful and stunning things she has to offer, and also go and visit her blog http://aisne-creations.blogspot.com/ she has some fabulous free downloads on there to also these images are available here on her blogspot http://aisne-creations-cardmaking.blogspot.com/ .

A Card for Mo's Challenge - "Boys with Attitude"

Good Afternoon All, well I dont know about you but its cloudy and its been raining here in Gloucestershire, I dont mind this weekend but Im sincerely hoping it will improve by next as we are of to Guernsey on Thursday to spend a few days and attending a Christening on the Sunday and I do so hope that it will be a lovely day or at least dry but only time will tell. Todays card is for this weeks Mo's Challenge "Boys with Attitude" and this little mite is really begging to be picked up, I should know as my second daughter when she was small was forever asking to be picked up as she didnt want to walk anywhere, Ive printed him onto white card and coloured with my copic pens then used my Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut it out and then used the die to draw around and then cut it out with my scissors out of lime green card. The sentiment was one that I created on my computer and printed it and mounted it in the same was as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of green card and one of three papers from Kay Millers "Dinosaurus" digi paper set, the first paper is a yellow background with several different colours of dinosaurs, on top of this is a green check that Ive cut in a strip and used my EK Success dinosaur border punch on both edges, then on top is a sentiment paper and this was then stuck on a piece of gree card and stuck across the centre of the second paper.
I then positioned my mounted image in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, but I then used some lime green rafia and threaded it through a stripped button and wrapped around the left hand side of the card.

A Card for a Special Uncle

Good Morning Everyone, Im so sorry Ive not been around for a few days but have been rather busy, and yesterday I had a fabulous day with my middle daughter Sarah and her four children, it was so nice to see her in fact we hadnt seen them for over a year so we had lots of things to catch up on. Shes a very busy person and doesnt get a lot of time to spare so it was so nice of her to take a day to spend it with us.
Anyway todays card has been created for my husbands Uncle, hes in fact my dear father in laws brother and now that hes gone, Uncle Alec is very special and reminds me so much of dear FIL, and hes just gone into a home and I felt it would be nice to let him know just how much we are thinking of him.
Uncle Alec loves yachts and has in fact made several in the past (not the full size ones) and has sailed them on a local pond in Edinburgh and I gather has won several cups for it, no motors are used by the way its just plain sailing.
The images are Stampin Up stamps and I thought they would be just ideal for him, Ive stamped it onto white card then coloured the image with my copic pens, afterwards I cut it out with my rotatrim and  mounted it onto a piece of blue pearlescent card. The sentiment is also part of the same stamp set and have done the same with that.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card with just one paper from the Kay Miller Downloads "Do you see what I sea" and this is a wavy pattern on a white background. I then stuck my image towards the left handside with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. The last think is the anchor charm thats been stuck on the left hand.

A Card for Several Magnolia Challenges

Good Afternoon All, I meant to get this posted this lunch time but went swimming and Im trying to recover from that, anyway this card today is to cover several Magnolia Challenges, one is "Anything Goes optional Faux Stitching", a "Sketch", "Cat or Dog" and the last wants a "Bookmark" just hope this cover all of them.
I have used this sweet Tilda holding her cat and then one of the single cat stamps that Ive used twice once of the topper and once on the bookmark. Ive coloured them all with my Copic and Tria pens then cut the bookmark out with one of the Go-Kreate Tag dies, and the actual main image I cut out with my rotatrim and then gone around the edges of both with a black pen to create the faux stitching.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue pearlescent card, Ive also used this for the mount of the image and of the tag. On top of this I have stuck my one and only paper and its one from the Kay Millers "My Pretty Kitty" download didi papers, it has lots of cats on a blue background. I then wrapped a piece of lace around the middle with a white ribbon that has cats and butterflies on plus a few flowers along the top of the lace.
The mounted image was mounted towards the right as the sketch shows and then tucked my tag behind it, it has a sentiment on as well thats another of the Magnolia stamps. The final flourish is the two cat buttons stuck at the bottom on the left hand side.

A Card for two Challenges

Good Afternoon All, so sorry this poor blog has been rather ignored since the weekend Ive had lots of Challenges to sort out, so I thought it was time to post a card, and have created this one for the Lili of the Valley Challenge "Say it with Flowers" and Creative Craft's "Lace" Challenge. Ive used this sweet fairy with her dandelion bits and wild roses for my image and coloured her with my copic pens, the Nestabilitie Ive used on this is one the special Edition ones from C&C, Ive then used the same die to create the mount by drawing around it onto mauve card then cutting it with my scissors. I did use some mauve inkpad around the edge then a swirl stamp just to give it a bit more mistyness. The sentiment is yet another of the LOV images and this has been treated in the same way as the mounted image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card then for my first mount Ive used a piece of mauve pearlescent card with one of three papers from the Kay Miller's "Wings" downloads digi sets, the first is a plaid design, and then two strips of mauve and green that have had the edges punched with a butterfly punch, I should have said that these two papers have butterflies on. On top of this is a strip of mauve card and this has been put through my cuttlebug and a embossing folder.
Around the middle I have wrapped a piece of lace and then a strip of mauve satin ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was then positioned in the middle and for a change the sentiment is on the left hand side at the bottom. To finish of Ive used one large curly rose in white and mauve in the top left hand corner mounted on some silicone glue and punched out leaves.
