Yet another card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Happy Christmas Eve to you All, its my younger brothers birthday today and a dear friends as well, and do you know if my dad had still been alive he would have been 98 tomorrow and my nephew has a birthday on Boxing Day, it was always a busy time in my home what with Christmas presents and birthday presents it must have driven my mum spare getting them ready and hidden. I can remember looking in her wardrobe to see what she had bought me for Christmas but I carnt remember ever finding out what we were going to get, its memories like this that keeps our thoughts of them alive at this time of the year.
Anyway next year is going to be a very special one for me as my eldest grandson is expecting his first baby in March so I will become a Great Grandmother for the first time, just wish my mum had managed to see this happen but I lost her 3 years ago but Im sure she would have been thrilled to know that she was to become a Great, Great Grandmother if she had, she adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and to have had yet another dynasty would have been a great joy for her.
Anyway back to todays card this has been created for this weeks Sugary Sunday "Kraft" Challenge and the Sugar Bowls Sketch, Ive used this gorgeous Saturated Canary stamp image and stamped it onto Kraft card then used my Karisma pencils to colour her, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.8 to cut her out, I then used the Decorative Labels 8 for the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of brown card, the papers I have used a Honeypots "Kraft" digi papers, Ive used two patterns in different colours of the same pattern and layered it up as the Sugar Bowl Sketch requires. The used some of the left over papers and a set of punches then embossed them with a tool and layered them up to create the flower at the bottom on the left hand side.
This Card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

Good Morning Crafters, well its supposed to have snowed or at least my hubby will have it as he found some on his car roof this morning, we also had a lot of rain and high winds, so bad that they bought down a plank of wood on the scaffolding we have around our house and neighbours at the moment, luckily it didnt hit anyone but it could have done, and theyve not been this morning so sort it out either. I ask you youd think they would want to make sure no damage was done, but no we havent seen anyone.
Anyway todays card has been created for this weeks Mo's "Anything Goes" Challenge and a "Angels" Challenge over on facebook, this is Muriel a cute angel hanging on a bauble. Good Afternoon all, well its been a extremely busy week for me as I have been involved with not only one Blog Hop but two and the second I had to organize myself, and I was so thrilled when it launched today over on my No.1 blog this morning beautifully, the girls worked so hard and it started at 9 oclock and each one of them was spot on time. I just want to thank them for all their hard work in making the launch an outstanding success. Anyway todays card was created for this weeks Sugary Sundays "Glitter and Bows" Challenge but also for the Sugar Bowls Sketch Challenge. I have used this sweet image of a girl with a gingerbread man in her hand, Ive printed her on to white card then coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut her out and a Decorative Die to mount her on. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same was as the image, Ive added glitter to both the image and the edge of the sentiment.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card, on this I have used Lili of the Valleys Christmas papers and they are both blue and white, the first a blue background with white snowflakes on and the second the opposite way round.
I then wrapped a piece of organza ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount, the mounted image was then placed in the center with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, I have then created a large bow and stuck it to the left of the image, and the final flourish are the three glittered buttons in the two opposite corners.

Through the Lens - samples for Sarah

I was asked at the weekend if I would start to make some samples for Sarah Hallam of Peerless Designs from her brand new pair of CDs titled "Through the Lens" which are several photos that Sarah has woven her magic over and created some stunning toppers, which will be previewed on Create and Craft at the beginning of December, will give you more details of that date when I get it.
Anyway here is a preview of the whats on them:-
And I started yesterday using the Mens one to create my first set of samples and here is the result.
And as my husband is a great lover of steam trains I thought I would use this photo of a old style station, I have used three of the papers from the Design Set and have created decoupage with the main image by printing three of the same image then cutting it out to create the layers.
The sentiment is from a Topper Set and I have taken it into My Craft Studio to put the text on it.
I do hope you will like these two CDs as they are just fabulous for both of the sexes.

I have been making up cards for both of them for the last year so I was lucky enough to find that I nearly had enough for all my friends and family when I decided to write them up a week ago, but having a few by is probably a good thing as you always find someone youve forgotten dont you?
Anyway Ive used this sweet Penquin image from Funky Kits and Ive printed it onto white card then used my copic pens to colour it, I then cut it out with my rotatrim and mounted it onto a piece of blue card.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Evening Everyone, again I do apologise for being so slack in posting cards this week but I do find that Im pretty busy and dont get much time to create special cards for this blog, but I will try and make amends as I have this one to show you and perhaps another one over the weekend but we shall see as tomorrow I have promised to show a friend of mine how to use copic pens and if I get a bit of spare time afterwards I will try and finish of the card Ive just started but we shall see.
Anyway this card is for the Sugar Bowl Sketch and colour challenge and luckily its almost the same as the one for Sugary Sunday on Facebook. Ive used this sweet Funky Kits image and coloured her with my copic pens, afterwards I used a square Nestabilitie die to cut her out and used a inkpad around the edge to stress it. Ive used the Marvellous Square die for the mount. The sentiment was one from my stash and I used a smaller die from the same set to mount it on.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of orange card, and the papers I used for this card are from the Sweethshoppe Digi Downloads and this design set is called "All Spice" the designs on the papers are just gorgeous and go so well with the image.
Ive layered up the card with the mounts called for in the sketch and then positioned my image towards the right and the sentiment on the right. To finish of I used some of the left over papers to create the flowers in the top left hand corner.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Morning, well its been raining again here in Gloucestershire so I guess Autumn is on its way, its certainly is in Scotland and this weeks Sugar Bowl Challenge is Autumn Colours plus Sketch, and for my card I have used one of the knitted Bears, isnt he cute? Ive stamped him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him, I then used Nestabilitie Die No.4 to cut him out then used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is yet one more from my stash not sure whos it is though I did find it with the bear image so it may be a Funky Kits one, but dont rely on that. Ive mounted it onto a Nestabilitie double ended label diecut.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount I have used a piece of brown card, the papers I have used a Bo Bunnys "Vicky B" paper pad, I have used four different ones in autumn colours, and mounted them up as the sketch expects.
I then positioned my mounted image towards the right with the sentiment underneath. To finish of I have used a wooded bird and stuck in on the bears hand, just in case the sentiment didnt quite look right.

A Card for many Magnolia Challenges

Good Afternoon, its been awhile since I have created a card with the Magnolia stamps and I felt it was time I did so heres my first attempt, its one of the new Christmas Club Stamp set and I think shes quite cute in her little leggings and top. Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her afterwards I used a oval Nestabilitie Die to cut her out. The mount has been cut from white pearlescent with the floral oval die.
I didnt want to put any coloured papers behind her as the colouring I have used is rather bright so decided to use just white. The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the first mount is of white card thats been put through my Grand Calibur and a 8"x 8" snowflake Die-seriee embossing folder then on top I have cut a strip of the same card but this time I have used a snowflake border punch and then around this I have wrapped a piece of white satin ribbon, this was then placed across the base mount.
I then positioned my mounted image towards the right and created a large bow and stuck it to the left.
To finish of I have used a large Poinsetta and placed that at the top on the left hand side and a few pearls were then placed in the two opposite corners.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Morning Everyone, I carnt believe its a week since I posted anything to my blog, I have been keeping my No.1 blog upto date but poor No.2 has been left out, anyway today Im going to try and rectify this and here is my card for this fortnights Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges, and this is one of the new Christmas Digi's from Funky Kits, isnt he cute. Ive printed him onto white card then used my copics to colour him, I then used a Rectangle Die from Spellbinders and then used a Daisy Chain die for the mount. The sentiment is a Just-rite one thats been cut out with a circle die and mounted onto a larger one.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and for my first mount Ive used a blue card, and the papers I have used are from Donna's Bearlymine Christmas papers, Ive used three papers in shades of fawn, turquoise and brown which are the colours that are asked for in the challenge.
Ive layered it up as the sketch requires and then used a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch to create the three snowflakes that have been placed at the top of the image.

A Anniversary Card for a Special Friend

Today I have had to rush around to try and get this card made so I can give it to a friend tomorrow, as I only see her a couple of times a week I wanted to be sure that I had it ready. Its her Golden Wedding Anniversary this coming weekend, and I wasnt aware of this till yesterday so its been a rush job. I just hope that she likes it, I love this heart its one of the Indigo Blu intrique stamps and Ive stamped it onto white card then used some gold embossing powder to then heat up. Ive cut it out then left it to one side while I created the rest of the card.
The base card is a 7"x 7" white card and for the first mount Ive used a piece of white pearlescent card thats been put through my Grand Calibur machine, mind you I had to get hubby to remove the front lip as the stupid Spellbinders created the embossing folder to wide for it otherwise (I reakon theyve made the later models wider than mine) and I then wrapped a gold ribbon around the middle and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I then used some gold mirri board and cut out the large heart with a Cheery Lynn die, this was then woven through the ribbon and then stuck to the card. I then placed the embossed heart in the middle and created a sentiment on my computer and printed it and mounted it on a heart die cut.
To finish of I used several different sized roses and created a floral spray in the top left hand corner, and the final flourish are the yellow pearls in the bottom and top corners. Im now ready to pop it in a envelope to give her tomorrow when I see her at swimming, keep your fingers crossed she likes the result, mind you Ive still got to put a insert it in so Id better start looking through my verses and getting a move on before I forget that to.
