A Card for this weeks Sugary Nellie Challenge on Facebook

Good Evening Everyone, I dont know if your aware that Sugar Nellie also have a Challenge on Facebook and its a weekly one, they are mostly at the moment colour challenges, and this is the colour chart that we had to use this week.
Quite a tricky combination but I hope you consider that Ive kept to them on my card. Ive used one of the gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamps and coloured her with my copic pens then used Nestabilitie Labels Die No.22 to cut her out then draw around the die to create the mount.
The card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card and Ive used three papers from the Echo Park "Victorian Garden" papers, the first one is a pink background with two white damask corners, on top is a strip with a red rose on a pink background and the third is a green leaf one and Ive used on of the Cheery Lynn doily dies. On top I have then positioned my mounted image with the sentiment in the bottom right hand corner.
To finish of I have created a flower with some of the left over paper and mounted this on top of punched our leave swirls in the top left hand corner.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

A Card for Sundays with Santa "Polka Dots" Challenge

Good Afternoon Everyone, well its gorgeous here the sun is out and its quite warm outside, our dog sat on the back doorstep for awhile today and seemed to really enjoy it. Shes of for a trim on Monday not so sure she enjoy that but it has to be done every two months. Well todays card has been created for this weeks Sundays with Santa Challenge and this time it involved Polka Dots, and Ive used these fabulous ones from Donna of Bearlymine Designs, oh while Im about it we are due to start Challenges again on the 20th March so keep your eyes open for the first one then.
I have used this gorgeous LOV image for my card and coloured it with my copic pens then used a circle Nestabilitie die to cut it out. I then picked up all the colours from my image and found the corresponding papers to go with it. I used my Martha Steward border punch down all the edges then layered them up and stuck them to a 6"x 6" white card on top of a piece of blue card.
The mounted image was then positioned in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right hand side, and to add the final flourishes with a snowman button and a punched out snowflake.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl Challenge - "A Sketch"

Good Afternoon Everyone, sorry Ive not posted anything here since last week, but if youd visited my No.1 blog you would know that my Mother in Law passed away on Monday and I didnt think it was quite appropriate to post anything. Anyway today Ive just finished my card for this weeks Sugary Sunday on Facebook and Ive combined it with this weeks Sketch and Kraft Challenge for the Sugar Bowl. I have used this sweet image of a little girl opening her box with a soft bunny in, and coloured in in shades of blue for the Facebook challenge, and then cut it out with one of my circle Nestabilitie Dies. The sentiment is one from my stash.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of Kraft Card, then used two papers from the Maja "Life in the Country" paper set, and mounted them on some blue card and arranged as the sketch required.
I then mounted my image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, to finish of Ive cut two leaf swirls with my Memory Box die, and stuck two lilies on top of them.
This card is to be entered in the following Challenges:-

A Card for Sunday's with Santa and Dieing for a Challenge

Good Afternoon Everyone, well today has been very eventful, hubby took me into Gloucester to Staples to buy a new computer chair, I dont know about you but they always take a time to get use to and this one I think we also be one to take time, as the armrests seem to be in the way, I might have to resort to changing them around, anyway only time will tell.
Todays card again has been created for the usual Sundays with Santa and this week its Snowflakes, and theres a brand new Challenge "Dieing for a Challenge" and this one is being sponsered by my very dear friend Tracy of Dies to Die for, and I thought as its a "Anything Goes" Challenge I thought Id give it a go.
For this card I have created a backing paper by using white card and a snowflake stamp, and several different embossing powders, then on top I have used the Memory Box Snowflake border and the large Snowflake, and then scattered several other snowflakes punched out with my Martha Stewart snowflake punch.
I then created a outer card with some pearlescent card and a border and corner punch from Martha Stewart this one is called rising sun and felt it gave the impression of snowflakes.

A Card for the Sugary Nellie Sunday Challenge

Good Morning Ladies, well its quite mild outside today so hubby and I have been trimming our lilac trees, mainly because the local council in their wisdom have decided to start charging us to remove garden refuse from the 2nd April, and I really wanted to get the trees sorted before they really start growing again, its easier to see the stems that way. And I have a feeling they are cutting their own throats by starting to charge us, as we live in a beautiful part of the country, more people are going to fly tip their rubbish around the Forest which is going to look lovely I dont think, who wants to pay more for taking this garden stuff away, weve got a very small garden so carnt have a composter as its just not big enough plus which its on the slope so where do we put it to keep it level. Oh well perhaps they will change their minds again before long. They actually made money from it as it was sent to be made in to compost for gardens anyway so why are we being charged I wonder?
Now back to my card sorry about spouting of, this card has been made for a new Sunday Challenge over on Facebook by Sugar Nellie, I was lucky to win last week and received a stamp of my own choice which was fabulous. Anyway I have used on of the new images and as the challenge was a colour one
and quite a difficult choice to use so I hope they are happy with the way I used them, I coloured it with my copic pens, then used the large rectangle die to cut it out, and again used a larger one for the mount. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of beige card and one of four papers from the Sweet Shope Digi Downloads, this set are called "Count your Blessings" and Ive created several layers even used one of the Cheery Lynn dies on one of them, then positioned the mounted image at a jaunty angle and the sentiment to the right of my image.
To finish of Ive used one of the Cheery Lynn leave dies, and a Die-namics Gardenier rolled flower die to create my floral spray in the top right hand corner.

Sundays with Santa "Food"

Good Morning Everyone, well here we are at yet another Sunday, I dont know about you the days go so quickly when your crafting you forget the time and before you know its time to go to bed again. Anyway before I start telling you about my card I have some good news our dog Missy actually ate something this morning, weve had a problem with her over the last few days shes experiencing a phantom pregnancy and hasnt been eating its been so worrying and scarey that we took her to the vets yesterday morning, he didnt give her any medication and just suggested that she would eventually start to eat of her own accord, the problem with that is shes not the best eater at the best of times so its a real struggle to get to eat anyway and to have this extra worry has really been so upsetting, but at least today she ate a few of her dried food nuts and licked the top of a yougart pot so Im hoping that she will enjoy a bit of meat at lunch time when we  have our roast, keep your fingers crossed for me.
And now back to my card this weeks challenge was to find a image of food for a Christmas card, I dont know about you but it was a problem anyway I found this gorgeous housemouse image and stamped and coloured it with my copic pens, then used a rectangle die to cut it out, then cut a mount with my rotatrim for it. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card and one of three papers from the Nitwits "Comfort and Joy" digi papers, the second paper has been cut into a strip and punched along the edge with my holly punch, the third paper a stripe one has been mounted on yet another piece of the same red card and stuck to the left side of the card and then across the middle I have wrapped a red holly ribbon and attached it to the back of the first mount.
I positioned my mounted image in the centre with the sentiment at the bottom on the right, and that it, Ive decided this year not to make my Christmas cards to big as the postage of them is astronomigal and thats why Ive not put any flowers on it.

A Card for Satuarated Canary Challenge "Reds, Pink and White"

Good Afternoon Everybody, well Ive just finished doing a pile of ironing, not my most favourite job but one none the less has to be done. Im so lucky with my dear hubby Ian he helps around the house now hes retired we have jobs we both do and the ironing is not one he can do, or at least he says he carnt. Hes gone of this afternoon to visit his mum who will be 92 next month, hes been going daily for just over a week now as she had a slight stroke and its left her paralysed down the left side, shes having great difficulties eating and swallowing and at one time she just refused to drink anything, as she has dementia its not easy to persuade her to do anything she doesnt want to, but the doctor threatened her with going into hospital and by a miracle she started drinking again. Mind you I wouldnt want to be the care assistants in the home shes in as she more likely to bite you if youve got your hand anywhere near her.
Now back to my card, its the freebie that Krista so kindly gave out last week and I think shes gorgeous and as the Challenge theme is Red, Pink and White, I hope this qualifies as being that, Ive coloured her with my copic and tria pens then used Nestabilitie Die No.17 to cut her out then used the die itself to draw around to create the mount for it. The card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of red card, and Ive used two papers from the Bo Bunny "Crush" Collection, the first is a black background with branches and birds on and the second is a white background with the same birds on but with the added birdcages as well, I cut this one into a 5" square and used a bird border and corner punch on it.
The sentiment is one of the CC ones and this has been cut out and mounted on a label thats been attached to the card with red brads, and the bird cage that I was sent from my lovely friend Tracy of Dies to Die for, I must find out whos it is as I rather like it.
The final thing is the red rose spray in the top left hand corner which I have attached to the card with some silicone glue on top of some punched out rose leaves.

A Card for Several Challenges

Good Afternoon Everyone, well the sun is out but its still very cold her in Gloucestershire, we took Missy for a walk this afternoon and let her of the lead to run around, she loved it, shes never been allowed of the lead before and as we both went out with her I thought if she was naughty at least between us we could probably catch her. Its always a worry when you first let them of to run around but so far things are looking good, though how she will behave when she meets other dogs Im not sure but we shall see.
Anyway todays card has been mainly created for all the "Love" Challenges that are on offer at the moment and Ive also created it for the Joanna Sheens one as well, I used this sweet image of these House Mice and coloured them with my copics and tria pens, then used Nestabilitie Die No.9 to cut her out then drawn around the die to create the mount. The sentiment is yet another of the same stamps from the House Mouse set.
Ive used a 6"x 6" white card for my base and a first mount of red card, and two of the papers from the Bo Bunnys "Crush" Collection and I used the second paper with a Cheery Lynn Heart die to cut them out, and layered them up on top of the first paper. Across the middle I have wrapped a piece of lace and a red ribbon and attached them to the back of the first mount. The mounted image was then positioned in the middle with the sentiment at the bottom on the right. The last flourish is the two heart gems at the top on the right hand side.

A Card for the Sugar Nellie Challenge on Facebook

Good Afternoon Everyone, Im not sure how many of you are aware that Sugar Nellie have a Weekly Challenge on Facebook, they are set on Sunday and then you have the week to make up your card, and this week its a colour challenge, where you are given a list of colours to use on your card, this weeks one is with the following ones:-
And I have used this sweet image of Pippi Longstocking with her frog for my card, Ive coloured her with copic and tria pens, then used the Nestabilitie Die No.8 to cut her out then draw around the die to create the mount.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of peach card, the papers I have used are from the Sweet Shoppe Digi Downloads and this one is by Cato Cardall and its called "Friends by Choice" and dont you think thats ironic with this particular image, I know I wouldnt choose a frog for my companion, though I do have a toad that lives in my garden during the summer and makes me jump whether I accidently disturb him.
The flowers were created from some of the papers in greens and pieces and rolled into flowers, they are by Die-namics, and the punched out leaves are by Martha Stewart. Ive also used one of the Cheery Lynn Doilie dies for the two layers behind the image.
